We Finally Understand The Entire Conjuring Universe

The Conjuring universe all started with the 2013 horror film of the same name, and it has led to a sequel and plenty of spin-offs, some of which take place before the original film. The events go back as early as 1952 with The Nun, which features a villain who makes another appearance down the road.

In addition, there’s that creepy Annabelle doll, who has gotten her own trilogy of films. Since The Conjuring 3 is on its way, you might want a recap of all the events that have happened, so here’s an explanation of the timeline of the entire Conjuring universe.

Chronological order:
1943: Car accident in which annabelle died (Shown in Anabelle creation).
1952: THE NUN -> Valak escapes through Maurice .
1955: ANNABELLE CREATION -> Orphans go to live in that house. Anabelle possess the girl who then gets adopted in the end.
1967: ANNABELLE -> the girl kills her adopted parents, and possess the neighbors doll. In the end, the doll is bought by a lady who gifts it to her daugther (a nurse)
1968: The warren’s take anabelle home from the nurse (Shown in conjuring opening scene)
1971: Events of CONJURING (In this movie we are shown that Loraine saw visions while treating Maurice)
1972: ANNABELLE COMES HOME 
1973: LA LLORONA
1976: CONJURING 2 (It is revelaed that the visions while treating maurice, and the visions while solving the amitywill case were of valak killing ed) -> they defeat valak at the end

I just rewatched the 2nd conjuring yesterday and realised that Valak's name was spread all over the Warren's household. For example in the kitchen where Lorraine confronts Ed about her worries, right under the window is Valak's name spelled in some kind of decoration, or when before Lorraine had the vision of the Valak, Valak's name was spelled out in letter decor in the bookshelves. Pretty sus if you ask me.
