Trying to affirm transwomen and transmen as women and men is impossible. I am taking my stance now. I will no longer use the term "cis, " I will no longer even try to consider transmen to be men or transwomen to be women, and I will always speak my mind about that.

I tried to make it work for years. I was waiting for them to finally say "okay, this is enough. I'm fine with being trans, " but that never came. There was never a line when it came to affirming them as men and women, not even a person's own sexual boundaries, so now, men are men, women are women, transmen are transmen, and transwomen are transwomen. Trying to affirm someone as something they are not is the entire problem in this entire topic. I also believe that a person gets to decide on an individual level what a man or a woman is for them, and that should be protected.

"Valuing both cis and trans players equally" has NOTHING to do with REALITY and recognizing REALITY. And the REALITY is that biological MEN have physical advantages over women. You are not a BAD person for acknowledging reality. This is NO better than the worst of religious zealotry that seeks to FORCE people to agree to THEIR over emotional narcissistic beliefs that DO NOT match reality and wants to punish them for taking the side of reality. When you are young you are idealistic and you might hope that this world will be a certain way. As you get older you realize that your ideal world might not exist. The they/them person might end up having a frustration heart attack if they expect people to know and use the pronouns they want, especially when they look like a female. They/them looks like they are having a temper tantrum. I would be afraid to interact with this person at work for fear of being attacked verbally.

Transsexual women do experience lower abdominal pains (usually IBS) due to the artificial female hormones they are using fighting with the natural spiking of their natural hormones.

Biological men have been shown to have spikes and dips in their natural testosterone production. So it makes sense that some transsexual women would experience lower abdominal pain but the pain is NOT anything to do with a menstrual cycle ie a period/PMS.
