How to Do The Pigeon Stretch Without Knee Pain

One of the most common stretches to open up your glutes. But it did NOT make it in to The Simplistic Mobility Method.... 🤔

It's a great stretch don't get me wrong... but, if you try and replicate this stretch before you have adequate hip rotation, you can put a lot of pressure on your knee

Just because a stretch is supposed to help muscle tightness and improve mobility it can still hurt you if you're not ready for it! This is something I talk about quite a bit in my book.

People often overlook technique and position with stretches. Just because there are no barbells around - it doesn't mean you don't need to pay attention to details.

If pigeon stretch is causing you knee pain, then you need to modify it until you're ready.

What about the right angle is it not important? Or is this sufficient to get the stretch?
