If WWII monuments could talk, I would be willing to listen for decades. Just imagine being one of the last surviving WWII soldiers. That's a blessing and a heartbreaking thought.

My Dad fought in WW2. He would have been 106 yrs. old on 09-07-24.
I miss you, Dad. Thank you for your service. Thank you for teaching me what courage, honor, & trustworthiness mean in times of difficulty.

Берегите ветеранов! Их, которые помнят все ужасы Второй мировой, осталось очень мало😢

Putting his hand on the shoulder of the soldier. I got tears in my eyes. It was not something to lean on but a gesture of respect. God bless you sir and all of those who fought in this and every war for freedom from tyranny.

I recently lost my dear friend, Sgt jim forest Crockett, a ww2 vet. One of Gods gifts to this planet has gone home. His words in our conversations will never be lost to white noise. This world is a lesser place without these men. Id gladly give my life today for his return.
