I was one day in Oregon on 1999, I am a French man. One old former soldier went to spend nights at the youth hostel. He had a newspaper with an article on him. It was written after he had seen save private Ryan at the cinema theatre. He was in the first waves at Omaha beach. He has been wounded this day but he lived this day again by watching the movie, he was in shock after that and went to hospital. He just traveled through the country and I had read the newspaper this day about him explaining all his story. This an was so humble and I was so touched by his story. I tried to thank him as good as I could and he knew that was French but I couldn't speak well enough to talk to him how grateful I was. But he saw that I understood his story and I looked him at his eyes. And I remember this man so well and this moment. I have been there in Oregon only for 3 weeks. Bandon south Oregon on the coast line. I worked on a new golf course there. As I see this man on the video, I know that they live these days all the time and that they suffered a lot for freeing another country that they don't know. Well. This is life and this is the craziness of humanity. Never happening again. God help the believers and protect us from the devil.
