Is SVM ideal for binary outputs only? ie, output is A or B. It's easy to perceive a hyper plane for binary output, a little more difficult for higher orders.

A Kernel is a function maping to the real numbers. The function f u are refering as Kernel is the feature map. The kernel represents the skalar product in the feature space X_3.
