"The way that Trump has been talking up until this point is that he can just force it through an agreement, whether Putin likes it or not."

Without the lifting of sanctions and the isolation of Russia from the world economy, ending the war in Ukraine won't do much to lift the economic and political pressure from Putin's regimes, The Times' Maxim Tucker tells Frontline on #timesradio

Rissia should lose their permanent seat in the UN security council. They just not interested in peace So why are they there in the first place ✌

Those sanctions should be permanent until Russia pays for the rebuild of all Ukrainian cities and villages! If it takes 100 years those sanctions should remain.

Nothing is more indicative of Russian collapse than the poor quality of the Russian propaganda trolls in this comments section. It’s like they’re not even trying anymore .

West Germany was a NATO member when half of Germany was occupied by the Soviets. How is that ANY different than what Ukraine is suggesting?

Under no circumstances should sanctions be lifted until Russian occupying troops leave Ukraine.

Russia has cemented its position as the centre of European fascism.

Yes. Seems to me there should be more explicit emphasis that US/EU support for Ukraine is a national security issue, not a “foreign aid” issue.

It has been reported that the asylum and immigration applications from Russia to the US have skyrocketed and are at an all time high. Why is that happening?

There must be a workable medium for payment of reparations by Russia in any agreement

The Budapest Memorandum was not vague for Ukraine (surrender your nukes to russia), but US and UK were just kidding about guaranteeing Ukrainian borders and sovereignty. Doesn't it embarrass you to say that?

Maxim Tucker has his facts wrong. I have literally just come back from Kharkiv and Kyiv. Russia has made advances of 20, 000km but the front line in Ukraine is 1000km so that is an average of an amount of the size of a person. In Ukraine people just ignore the air raids and get on with their daily tasks. The know Russia can't defeat them and all they can do is grind things out minimally but with a country as huge as theirs it would take 50 years to get anywhere and by then Putin will be long gone.

Russia has said there will be no ceasefire until its goals are realized, so all this talk is pointless.

Why don't ever mention that Ukraine giving "small" bits of fields and tree lines is strategic and they are doing on purpose because they devastating russin ... 2000+ killed or injured in a single day and destroying tons of equipment. Stop being so biased.
