Solving Equation with Two Radicals (2 Square Roots)

In this video, we tackle one of the more challenging problem types in College Algebra. We solve an equation containing two radicals (2 Square roots). The procedure involves several steps. (Yes, it's long!)
1) Isolate one of the radicals.
2) Square both sides and simplify.
3) Isolate the remaining radical.
4) Square both sides and simplify.
5) Solve the resulting equation (often a quadratic)
6) CHECK!!!
Since we squared both sides, it is possible we have an extraneous solution so checking is MANDATORY. This is explained in more detail in my previous video in this same playlist.

I learned that with an equation with two radicals you can’t just square both sides to get rid of the radicals, you must do one at a time to eventually get a quadratic equation
