Hey I got a very cool solution just wanted to share it with everyone.
If we set A=sqrt(x+12), B=sqrt(x-3)
Then we have A^2 - B^2 = 15
(A-B)(A+B) = 15, since we already know from the question that A-B = 3
We have (A+B) = 15/3 = 5
Then adding the 2 equations
A-B=3 and A+B=5
We have A=4, squaring A we get the answer
