The first time I heard this song on the radio, I was convinced that it was a classic golden oldie that had been around for decades toppi g the charts, used in film and advertising. There is just something hauting and beautiful about this song, and immediately resonated so intensely with Humanity's collective unconscious that regardless of who you were, where you came from, even the first time time hearing it, something about it is so familiar and relatable even if you have never loved or been betrayed, it is so perfect that it is hard to believe that it hasn't always existed in the zeitgeist and these two just managed to channel it. Even without understand the English language, there is no mistaking what these 2 are feeling in their souls, and it is nearly impossible to listen to this and not empathize with that pain that can only come from love, we aren't really all that different you and I.
