I need to see my doctor 😢. I lost so much faith in the medical system over the years but I don’t want lack of care to lead to early death.

This is meaningful information! Especially coming from a Cardiothoracic Surgeon of 40 years and then the 24 years or so of practicing medicine and nutritional excellence hand in hand. I am working hard to never have these symptoms. But if I do, I know to get checked out, and what to check.

You have described 90% of what is happening to me, today: 9/20/2024.
Problem is, yes, it is, I tell doctors what is happening and they do not care.
Thank you.

Thanks for the video. I had symptoms for many years before my heart attack. I would get pain in my quads and muscle knots in my back. I never had pain in my chest. The pain could be massaged away. After open heart surgery the pain never returned. Don't attribute weird pains to arthritis like I did. Have it checked out!

Excellent info. Note that women’s symptoms are often attributed to stress, because their symptoms are so different. My mother’s were and she was sent home with indigestion medicine and Xanax. The next day I had to demand tests. Of course she had 3 blocked arteries. Her main symptoms were indigestion and pain in her upper back. Be the squeaky wheel if you’re a woman.

I had a heart attack a few years ago.
No one in the hospital ever looked at my homocysteine.
None of the cardiologists I saw in the years that followed ever mentioned it.
I had to find out everything on my own 4 years later.
If homocysteine testing became a standard test, the pharmaceutical companies might go out of business.
Make sure your homocysteine doesn't go over 9.

I have forwarded this video to my friends. They thanked me, and I thank you, Dr. Gundry. It is the best of times that we have this resource. It is the worst of times that our personal doctors seldom help us as much as a doctor on the Internet.

QUESTION: My recent research on the Mayo Clinic website has shown that diastolic heart failure from a thickening valve can be caused by cardiac myocytes folding on themselves and collecting at the bottom of my left valve. If true, it is not reversible. What I would like to understand is: Why does that happen and can I do anything to stop any further thickening?

This is very significant for me today! A recent angiogram was done to see if years of high cholesterol damaged my arteries. A nuclear EKG had shown extreme heart activity during the exercise phase. However, my arteries were pristine! Bad news is my left heart valve is thickened and toughen. After a week of shock at the term "heart failure", I started doing my own research. This is especially because I cannot tolerate statins and have had a heart rate of 38 in my physician's office before. Am wearing a heart monitor for two weeks to see how often HR goes that low and when. Note I am thankful I found Gut Check, though it was to understand diverticulosis, polyps, and extreme bouts of diarrhea, I learned so much more. Thank you for a valuable resource!

a heart attack can include chest pain or discomfort that may feel like pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain in the center of the chest. The pain may spread to the arms, neck, jaw, back, or stomach. Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, nausea, lightheadedness, and cold sweats. It's important to note that not everyone experiences these symptoms the same way,

Overlooked signs of heart disease include unexplained fatigue, shortness of breath during mild activities, and recurring indigestion. Unusual aches in the jaw, neck, or arms can also signal heart issues. Women may experience nausea, vomiting, or back pain. Swollen feet, ankles, or persistent coughing could indicate heart failure. Regular dizziness or heart palpitations shouldn't be ignored.
