as a professional software dev and game dev, I have tried taking many courses for various game engines and they pretty much all suck. I have had maybe 3 courses worth their price. My opinion just jump in and start working on your game, you'll learn more that way too.

That RTS tutorial for Godot 4 might be LIT.

EDIT: It isn't.
EDIT 2: Someone pointed me towards the Nanotech Gamedev channel. Who works on an ongoing RTS tutorial series. YT just isn't showing the comment for no reason.

… this bundle… friend took one of the courses it, and my god it’s bad. It does a poor job explaining oop, the syntax of gdscript, poor pacing, and bad explanation of functions. Not to mention inherently poorly written examples, inefficient code, and bad practices. I had same problems with many humble bundle education courses to be honest. Honestly imo it’s better to just avoid courses like these and find free material like brackleys and learncpp and buy some good books. These courses are often done by people who… really really should not be teachers in my opinion

edit, i went further into their courses, considering this is the most liked comment and the first one anyones going to see

💀subscription service, and this site mainly promotes subscription licenses to use the tutorial. idk what the hell this is promoting but my god, the hell you're doing promoting a bundle like this???? this is just shameful

Aside from zenva generally being pretty bad, something to note is that course support.. a feature that comes with literally every paid course on every major platform.. is only available with a paid subscription, even if you pay for the course itself.

Wow, that's an amazing bundle! So much great content for Godot developers.

I know this video was from a year ago. I have questions about the HB stuff. Is that a subscription? Or is it a one time fee?

Needed to learn how to program in Roblox for a job, got a zenva bundle a long time ago and it was amazing! Now I'm a huge Godot dev and teacher, this will be great curriculum for my students :)

generally i have had a pretty good experience with other Zenva courses... they are generally pretty good, but limited in scope. my only complaint is that they have pushed a subscription plan in the past... just something to keep in mind.

Did you take a look at the °3D Design & Modeling eLearning° bundle at Fanatical? If yes, what do you think of it?

hmmm, weird. humble says the courses are only available for windows and mac, not linux. not sure what that even means

Am considering it as thinking of trying out Godot. Seems like a lot of hate for the course provider, though. I've not seen anything on YT or Udemy that really grabbed me, so for this price, it is tempting.

I think this will be perfect for my kids and we will incorporate it into our homeschooling curriculum.

This thing is confusing how the hell do you redeem the codes !!!

Shame, I wanted that turn-based RPG one for a cheaper price, but it doesn't seem like that won't be happening.

It's not clear whether the bundle includes lifetime access to these; Zenva seems to operate on a subscription model. Is this bundle for one year of access or something?

hah. meh. Personaly i don't recomend Zenva cause they don't update their cources properly. For example they answered in support that they will update their several 3.2 cources for godot to new version as this version was already out (it was ~year ago) but i check it now and and still not updated. One of 2 cources just archieved and another is still 3.2 but not archieved. And they prefer to do new cources with almost same names . heh. no way.

Those courses don't seem so complete

Sorry mate but I'm unsubscribing. This has just become a constant shoving of bundles for extra profit and I can't remember the last time that I watched a really engaging video from your channel
