During the rebuild of my 14 year old r/c car, I found some hinge pins that locate the suspension arms had gone rusty.
1. Soaked them in WD40
2. Get a micro-fibre cloth, paper towels, Metal polish (I used Autosol), and an Electric drill.
3. Put the hinge pin in the drill, using some metal polish on the cloth. The speed of the drill cleans it up really well.
4. Swap ends, and repeat.
5. Repeat again with paper towels to get the fine residue off.
Done.

They came out mint. Pretty stoked
