Our goal for this webinar series is to connect the entrepreneurs and the investors from Pakistan with their counterparts in some exciting emerging markets, and to discuss the opportunities and the challenges, their lessons learnt, and exchange advice for all those looking for the cross-collaboration.

Dante Işıl Ö. a serial entrepreneur with successful exits. He is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Ewerge, an Edtech platform. He was previously the Co-founder and CEO of Oktomax, creating impact-driven asset-light SaaS technologies.

Onur Erbay is a Partner at Global Founders Capital focused on CEE, Turkey and MENA. He serves on the board of Ekoten Fabrics and Cannapharma Investments and is a Managing Partner at Naviga Capital, an early stage VC fund focused on CEE region and Turkey, and Solaris Trader, a foreign trade company.

Inanc Balci is the Co-Founder and Partner of Crestone Ventures, a US-based fintech specialist VC fund covering Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. He was Co-Founder of helloPay Philippines that provided a secure payment platform and was acquired by Alipay, Ant Financial. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of Lazada Group, Philippines that operated Southeast Asia's largest online shopping and selling platform in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Lazada Group was acquired by Alibaba Group.

Ali Halabi is the Founder and CEO of Volt Lines, Demand-based flexible transportation model. He was previously the CEO of Volt Turkiye, an on-demand inner-city peer-to-peer ride-sharing app that connects car owners with passengers going in the same direction. His experience includes working at Procter & Gamble as Regional Marketing Manager.

Kalsoom Lakhani is the Co-Founder and GP at i2i Ventures, an early-stage VC fund for Pakistan, and the country’s first female-founded VC fund. Prior to opening the doors to i2i Ventures in 2019, Kalsoom was the Founder of Invest2Innovate (i2i), i2i Ventures' sister entity, which she founded in 2011 to support and unleash the potential of young entrepreneurs in growth markets like Pakistan.

MODERATOR'S BIO:
Ovais N. is GPr at Rise Capital, a global investment firm that backs internet-enabled businesses in prominent emerging markets. He is a Board member at Modanisa, Advisor to the CEO at Eight Inc and X8 Ventures, and a Guest Lecturer at London Business School. He was previously MD at The Abraaj Group and led the firm's focus on early stage and entrepreneurship engagements. He is also the Co-Founder of Wamda - a content, collaboration and mentoring platform for early stage companies.
