Here's what she had to say:
Micromanaging is one of those things that can be tricky to deal with because it's uncomfortable. Being in a situation where you feel like you aren't trusted to do your work well can make you lose confidence and question your capabilities.

🔸 🔹 Here are two things you can do to try and improve the situation:

➡️ Work to build trust - OVER-communicate with your manager about what projects you are working on, when you expect things to be completed, and of course, if any bumps occur along the way that may delay an original deadline or goal.

➡️ Make sure expectations are clear. If you have questions or concerns ASK for clarity so you know exactly what the vision is.

Focusing on solid, proactive COMMUNICATION can really help improve the situation!

This is only applies to those who don't have options. Micromanaging is abusive in most cases. If you find yourself in such a situation, start up skilling and leave.
And oh, before you do, recommend that they take leadership courses.

We shouldn't have to pander to their poor management.

Proactive communication. Easier said then done. Direction is the right one. Indeed.

1. Start looking for another job. (Research the companies in Glassdoor reviews to see what former employees have said about your future potential workplaces.
2. Update that resume.
3. Make time for interviews
4. After you land one, give your two week notice.
5. GTFO.

Working for a living sucks! I would rather eventually live off of passive income and do whatever I want. 🤨

Resisting won't work, but ignoring their words and never smile will.
Also when you train new employees, if you gonna teach them something in your way, speak with higher volume and also say the reason why it will be more advantageous.
The manager may keep quiet and later teach them another way which would have more cons.
When you see your new employee is making cons, rather than asking them to do in your way, tell them how you can improve the manager's method and also suggest your way.

Leave your job if you can. I couldn't as I'm a college student and i need this shitty salary for buying food
