Anyways, here is what you need to make these muffins:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 4 oz. semi sweet chocolate
- 5 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1¼ cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 oz semi sweet chocolate chips (optional if you want to add them into the batter)

256 g flour (all-purpose)
43 g unsweetened cocoa powder
15 g baking powder
2.84 g baking soda
2.84 g salt
120 g granulated sugar
70 g unsalted butter
188 ml buttermilk
1 egg

I made these today except :

- I didn't have chocolate chips so I put a tbsp of Nutella instead
- I used 1 whole cup of sugar
(trust me its not too much so please add another 1/2 cup)
- I used normal milk

And they tuned out really tasty!

I made these cupcakes a couple days ago and these are just my few tips:
This recipe only calls for 1/2 cup sugar but to me i think this recipe needs about 1 cup or maybe evena a little bit more. Without the added sugar these muffins taste really bland and not very delicious. Do not make these muffins if you wil not be adding the extra sugar, as trust me this wil leave the muffins tasting quite bad. Also add a little bit more vanilla extract and some hot coffee to really bring out the flavour of the muffins. The texture of the muffins were excellent they ice and fluffy and looked delicious! only problem not tenough flavour and add more sugar!

Hey guys-
I just made these muffins and they were so delicious, heres a few things to note:
- *Use 2/3 cup sugar OR 1 cup of sugar*
i know... the comments suggested 1 cup but my family doesnt really like sugary stuff so i used 2/3 cup which was perfect for us (legit the first compliment would be 'ooh its not too sweet', so just trust me and use that much, using 1/2 cup of sugar would literally make ur muffins go to waste :D
- *I baked mine for 23 minutes*
- *I used a little extra vanilla extract >:D* <-- better in my opinion
- *I used the batter to make chocolate chip and blueberry muffins* (i split the batter in half)
Overall, great recipe and would make again <3

Sense I like when people write reviews here: the cupcakes is very nice, moist, and fluffy But also a “cakey” texture i only cooked mine for 20 minutes. I read another comment that said to add more sugar I did so and I think that it does taste better with more I also added more vanilla extract. I recommend this recipe because it tastes good and is very easy to clean up.

I made these and they were the most beautiful DRY muffins I've ever had. Lol! I will try it again but will add just a little vegetable oil and trim the baking time down by a couple of minutes for my oven. One thing I did alter is the butter milk. My local stores carry the half gallon size and that's too much. I used the powered kind (found in the baking isle) so that I use whatever I need. Also, it stores well in the fridge for future use. If you elect this option, add the recommended powdered measurement to your dry muffin ingredients and then add the water. It'll mix better. For those who asked, salted butter is fine. I wouldn't suggest altering baking soda/powder since doing so might impact the consistency of the muffins.

Made these today, so so good. Added slightly more sugar (3/4 cup rather than 1/2) but turned out amazing. I added a piece of choc in the middle of the mixture in each cupcake case for the runny choc filling!

I baked these gorgeous beauties just now, and they turned out super soft and full of flavor!! Though, I altered the recipe by increasing the amount of sugar as I found it less for my taste buds.

I just wanted to say thank you much for this recipe! 😍💌 I baked them today and they tasted so good. I felt guilty I ate 2 in 3 mins😊 btw, dint have the cupcake tin. But they came out well, total of 23 cupcakes.

I didn't had baking soda, so I put a little bit more of baking powder and I used regular milk instead of buttermilk. It was yummy anyway ^-^ ♥

I made this today and my family are enjoying these right now. My few tips are I think it needed 3/4 cup of sugar or 1 cup depends on you. It is also moist and not that dry. I also used brown sugar for more moist and just my trip. You gotta try these out it was so good!! My first batch overflowed but still delicous hshjsjsjs.

I made this recipe and I really recommend it as it's really tasty but mine did crumble a bit but overall the taste was delicious and the texture was soft and moist.
