"We're not all athletes.

We're not all born super athletic.

However, I know everyone is capable of learning if they put in the effort.

Effort that will force you to consistently learn every day.

And it doesn't have to be sports.

It can be any skill.

They just need to be shown where to start.

All you need to do as a young individual is ask the right questions.

Questions that force you to LEARN instead of memorizing, as a college student would in a classroom.

Even if there is pain involved.

I want everyone who watches my content to succeed..."

I dropped out high-school. I did drugs and was a drunk more than half my life. I straighend up and became an electrician. I'm 36 yrs old now and I am supervisor building ground up data centers. I no longer have to look at my bank acct before I buy anything. I have nice things and a good woman. deciding to be an electrician elevated my life. and you can do it too.

I'm in IT and have a relative with a large contracting business. You can make good money in either IT or in the trades. What it comes down to is the personality of the individual.

If you like to work with your hands, go work in the trades. You can work up to journeyman, but if you have the drive you can start your own company. However, if you are not mechanically inclined and do not like to work with your hands as much, give IT a try.

Im in cybersecurity making 175k at 26. Started at help desk out high school the company paid for my certs. Got the trifecta done in 6 months. I constantly look for promotions and growth opportunities. Now i work 45-50 hours a week and make more than both my parents combined. IT is the way if you want to use your brain over your body. Blue collar makes great money as well but not everyone is cut out for a career of manual labor and how taxing it is on the body.

For anyone looking to get into IT I'd say it is a career that you can do well in but the important thing is to get yourself some experience and also look at getting courses done to qualify you to work with different software like, azure and stuff, microsoft also have alot of free courses you can do that will look good on your CV/Resume

I own my own painting company and I make over $100, 000 a year. Now iam not making millions. But if you are licensed l, insured and know your worth. There is work out there, you just have to invest in yourself and work hard. Set your price and don't negotiate. You can get top dollar, I tell people all the time, you can get someone cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

I think this conversation is really about climbing ladders and drilling holes. As an electrician yes you have to plot paths and understand circuits and loads but at the end of the day the hours of labor are climbing ladders and drilling holes. I think both fulfill the feeling of putting something in place that wasn't there before. Owning your own company always nets more profit especially when you break into the higher tax brackets. However I honestly think it just depends how much risk tolerance you are willing to accept and how you prefer to spend your hours. A lot of it can be done remotely and cheaply. But you will certainly be paid way more if you have high demand skillsets.

Automation is all the rage these days. Deploying a network for a new business or expanding one for an existing one. The correct solution for the right model as fast as possible is what commands the best paid model right now.

Companies don't want to pay a guy a lot that can do something well 1 at a time. But if you can do that job 20x faster than the next 100x 1000x now you're super valuable.

An electricians job is more stable there's less to keep up with and more essential. Do both do what makes you feel fulfilled. If these shorts are trying to teach you something it should be do something. It doesn't matter what. Fight for knowledge, get enough resources to break out of the controls that are in the way of your life. Live your life.

Even though I love being an ld identifying as an IT nerd I think I would prefer being a master electrician.

My buddy is an electrical foreman making $160k a year at 38. Electrical apprenticeship will take you 5 years and it’s harder than IT but the job market is wide open
