This is edited/ modded. John says that line only after reading arthurs name on a plaque of a church if you donated money to it as him and this mission is of the french guy that draws people in the nude. He replace one painting with the image of arthur and edited in the voiceline. This was never in the game.

what I find so beautiful in the first scene, at the part of 0:53, if you have this encounter after Arthur is diagnosed with TB, he’ll say “if..if I can.” Like in the video. But if you don’t, something different will happen. That’s what makes this game so amazing.

This is fake. That reaction is indeed in the game, but it's when John finds Arthur's name in that chapel thing if Arthur donates, down in Saint Denis
