Hamsters can be attached and so so intelligent! Mine unfortunately passed away a month ago... she was a 2yo winter white. But before that, she has been greeting me every SINGLE DAY when I get back from work. She would run straight to the front of the cage (after hearing the door to my room) and raise her tini tiny lil arms to get picked up. I dont think I'm gonna get another one, she's the one and the only in my hamster heart.

I'm a night owl anyway and I'd love to see him or her running around. :)

I love the sound of my little friend running around at night, proves he’s happy, and bites don’t bother me cause I have dogs and look after horses too so I’m used to nips

As i settle into adult life and as a college student, hamsters have been a great pet choice. They're nocturnal, i come home at 9 on school days and 4 on work days. I dont have to feel bad i dont spend time with them BECAUSE THEY SLEEP DURING THE DAY. its not for everyone but under given circumstances theyre great pets. Theyre great tbh

My dwarf hamster, Biscuit, was the sweetest and funniest little thing. I’m glad she was my first official pet; I picked her out, named her, got her new home ready, and we had the best three years together. I knew her little life was short so she was definitely spoiled, even once sharing an Allstar from Waffle House with me 🤣 She had her serving of eggs, grits, waffle and sausage and MAN she tore that up lol. Her favorite treat was pumpkin seeds.
I knew when she was getting old when she bit me for the first time whilst cleaning her bed. It didn’t break skin, just startled me because she’d never done that before. Not even a month later I rattled her bag of pumpkin seeds, and she didn’t peek her head out. I rummaged through her bedding and found her curled up, rigor mortis already setting in. Must’ve passed in her sleep.
I thanked her for the lovely few years we had together, and for how much she had taught me about responsibility. She’s buried in an iPhone box with a few of her favorite treats and toys inside with her, a few feet in the ground so stray cats couldn’t dig her up.
This video made me remember so much about my little Biscuit, thank you for taking the time to read this 💕

My hamster passed away 3 weeks ago, but she was the best thing has ever happened to me. She would sleep on my chest while we watched tv and she would run on her wheel soooo much ❤🐹🐹

Yess!! I’m a night angel (haha, get it?) who is terrified of being all alone in my room at night so a hamster will keep me company and calm me, I have the space and my dad is willing to pay everything for the hamster’s needs.
I plan on a long haired syrian hamster with golden fur (not actual gold ofc) and to name him nugget!

The dealing with death bit really hit me, my hamster Philip, a Syrian, was with me for almost 4 years, he died on 30th Dec, I was crushed. As much as he likes his space, I do feel we have bonded pretty well. He is free to roam around my bedroom anytime he wants because I left his enclosure open (please don't bash me about this, I made sure my bedroom, is absolutely safe for him to roam) so technically we live together.

hamsters can actually live three years or more especially dwarf hamsters. my dwarf hamster was six when she died as a kid.

Victoria! I just got a female Syrian hamster that’s living in a 960 inch cage with a 12 inch wheel, multi chamber hide, sand bath, other textures such as cork granules, 9 inches of bedding, and so sO SO much more! Without your amazing videos, none of this would have happened. UR AWESOME

I had a tiny tales cage for my Syrian but I figured that was too small after watching your videos so I upgraded to a bin cage 541 square inches by the way and now he is going to go into his new cage for the first time. Thank you for making good videos I now know what proper hamster care is.

Our little ham (Campbell Dwarf) died a couple days ago :<
He barely made it over 1 year and then got really sick, until he had fatal kidney failure.

We really tried to give him the best home, still he went too soon.

I love this video.
As someone who has had hamsters stay in their room I found the noises of the wheel, bottle and digging very comforting

We adopted a hamster that a friend didn’t want anymore, we learned how to take care of her as we went along. Though we only had her for 1.5 years, it really hurt when we lost her (still struggling to adjust without her), but we have no regrets as we have so many amazing memories with her. That cucumber part of the video got me, since that was one of my hamsters favourite treat 😂

My boy Chopper lived a long life at 2.5 years. The heartbreak never goes away, but the good times made it worth it. He was such an anxious little boi, even for a hamster. I had never met a hamster with such anxiety. He hated being held or interacted with, but we bonded and he would put up with it for a time. I remember when other people would hold him he would just stare at me almost like he was begging for help. I was in a shut in phase when I had him, so we were definitely two peas in a pod. They are such small creatures with big personalities.. I want another one but it will be a while.
