REVIEW - Mito Red MitoADAPT Min: A Gamechanger?

Before considering my Mito Red MitoADAPT Min review, here are some of my red light therapy resources:

Then let's get into the Mito Red MitoADAPT Min review:

✅ Mito Red light have become a leading red light therapy company. Mito Red have recently come out with their new MitoADAPT series. In my comparison series, their panels frequently land on the podium. But in a space where a lot of panel begin to look and function the same, innovation is key
✅ The Min is a tabletop product that comes with a built-in stand. The stand is included in the price and pre-installed
✅ The product is marketed towards people who love spot treatment, particularly skin health effects
✅ My review will have a surprising ending though, which might be disliked by some of the bean counters at Mito Red
✅ So let's begin with the MitoADAPT Min basics: the panel has 72 LEDs. Each LED has 630nm and 850nm, or 660nm and 810nm wavelengths, because they are dual-chip. Each LED, therefore, has a red and near-infrared light
✅ There's also a dimming functionality that goes from 100% all the way down to 1%
✅ The panel doesn't have pulsing but there is something new: 11 different pre-built modes. Each mode powers different LEDs at different power levels. Mode 1 has all the wavelengths running at full power, for instance. Other modes have red light or just infrared. Others have some of the red and some of the infrared light running. You can use almost any arrangement here. You cannot manually adjust the intensity and the 11 modes are preset
✅ The panel has modular capability
✅ You can control the panel through an app on your phone. The app can track your modes and usage
✅ In terms of wavelengths testing, the 850nm peak didn't really line up and was located at 860nm. The other wavelengths peaked perfectly
✅ The peak power was 58 mW/cm2 and the average over 9 different spots on the panel at 42 mW/cm2 and total Wattage output of 21.5 Watts. Compared to other tabletop panels I've reviewed these numbers are about mid-pack. The panel also has less power than the MitoPRO 300 but there's lots of power still there
✅ From a value perspective, though, the $24.20 per Watt tag is higher
✅ The red light therapy panel has a 3-year warranty and a 60-day trial period
✅ Next up, my likes: 1) The product comes with 2 manuals - a quickstart guide and a more extensive, great manual; 2) The mode function I like because this is the first time you can select between what wavelengths within red and near-infrared you use
✅ Then, my dislikes: 1) The app could be more excellent and seems outdated; 2) the 11-mode function is a bit confusing and might overcomplicate things; 3) the control panel also doesn't look that good with the colors and low resolution; 4) the stand's color is different from the panel; 5) the validity of the app's feedback
✅ Who should buy this MitoADAPT Min? First, there's the beauty user who wants skin benefits. Then there are biohackers and advanced users who want advanced features. And, lastly, there's the premium buyers who want the latest bells and whistles
✅ Overall, the BioMax 300, Infraredi Flex and Mito Red MitoPRO 300 are the best competitors of the MitoADAPT Min

I purchased the MitoPro 300 based on your review and I’m enjoying it. The additional cost for the MitoAdapt features isn’t worth it for me. I am a new to Red LIght therapy so the MitoPro 300 was a perfect purchase for me. I greatly appreciate Alex’s reviews.

Thank you for reviewing this one. I definitely agree about that app. It needs some major work.

For the modes and what they help with, I think they are waiting to get customer updates on that app to see which modes work for what. This is like the guinea pig model. But again I agree, they should have done this prior in their own research.

Can you do a video on the downsides and dangers to red light therapy? I red some information mentioning that too much red light is bad and have make things worse. If any health conditions shouldn’t use it. Like people with tumors I think. Etc. Oh, and why it makes people sick and the sun doesn’t, even though the sun is stronger. Please and thank you 🙏🏾 😅

I'm still saving up to get some mito panels for full body coverage, though I'm not too interested in the variability of wavelengths. I just turn red and NIR on full blast. Considering the number of wavelengths is the same, I don't know if it's worth it to put in the extra $$ if you're not super concerned with the individual light controls, aside from there being a handful more LEDs.

Another great review. Have you tried the Glarewaypar?

Mito pro 300 is wonderful to own. I'm super new to this RLT space, and having all those settings would be lost on me. A remote, would have been nice. If this turns out to be great, I will probably invest in a larger panel. But honestly, it is good as is. I spent that extra few hundred on another skin care device 😂

Hi I have a question. I just got a Biomax 300, and I wanted to also get a mito Pro 750. I wanted to know if you can place them together (like a full body panel) maybe I’m not gonna be able to connect them together(not sure, maybe yes) but since you have both, I was wondering if you know if they can combine with each other (like one on top of the other as a multi panel array) thanks for the videos btw, they are great! 👍🏼

Hi Alex, can you please recommend the best panel for pain? Also it must be hung or on stand I am.not able to stand, that's because my body is so damaged and I am disabled.

As usual, an execellent review. However, you have missed something that might be in favor of MItoAdapt series: suppose I mainly want NIR. If I use Biomax300, then I am really using just half of the LEDs. So I only got half of the power you found here. Whereas, because of the dual chips, I am using all the LEDs in MitoAdapt Min. So the power calculation would be very different under that use case. Not only that, assuming the table top models of the two brands have similar hot spots performance as their full body panel, then I can place the MitoAdapt Min closer to my skin for the same 'evenness' of doseage. This closer distance might be enough to overcome the weaker power output too.

Thank you! It's a no for me on the Mito Adapt. I have been waiting a long time to purchase, and it sounds like Mito and Platinum LED are the ones to choose. I didn't like the customer service reviews of Platinum LED though, so I have been leaning toward Mito. I need to look again and see if anything has changed in that arena in the last year or so. Thanks so much for your work!

Great review! But this is a no for me since I now know the mito adapts wave lengths isn't the strongest. I'll stick with the pro 😎

Adapt and the pro don’t have all the same wavelengths. The 830nm in the pro was replaced with the 810nm in the adapt. I wish they would have just added 810nm rather than replace. I might have to go with the infraredi.

I have a question. Mito Red Light and Mito Light are the same company? Or they are different? If no, do you know Mito Light? Could you recommend this company also?

….i got NO manual with my unit- instead they referred me to download it online… no thanks to that! Not happy about that at all.
