ANGRY Amazon Delivery Associates React To My Reddit Post!

In my first video, I discussed how bad the Amazon Delivery Driver job actually is.

Well, as you can imagine, many Amazon Delivery Associates responded. But man, were they angry. Some seem quite disturbed. This is indicative of the culture at the Amazon delivery stations.

Stay tuned for the next video about this subject!

Thanks for watching!

The answer is put Jeff Bezo on a delivery truck for a few days and what he averages a day for that time is what the expectation should be.

I quit yesterday. Couldnt do it anymore. They gave me 190 stops (49 multi stops) so way more than 190. 330 packages. I couldnt even organize my van. Ive worked for a previous dsp so im no stranger to amazon but that was absolutely insane. I got 90 stops in and it was already 5pm. Still had 90 to go. I was having panic attacks all day due to being overwhelmed. I drove back with the van and packages, left the keys phone etc in the van, locked everything in the van, sent a text to the dispatcher said im done sorry but cant do it, and went home. I woke up this morning to a huge thunderstorm and was like wow...and i thought yesterday couldnt be worse...i couldve been doing that today again...in this rain. Fuck amazon.

Most people are idiots. You are right about these jobs

No, you can handle it, but Amazon has ridiculous expectations that no one can achieve.

Even if you finish those routs you still get negative feedback from customers. For not reason

I worked for 2 different DSPs and my dad is a recruiter for one. This is my opinion:
1) not enough money for the volume/injury/ dog attacks
2) you can make it a lot easier if you have a rythmn, efficiency, and organization
3) the difference between DSP is weird (I was delivery driver of the month January 2022, next DSP they sent me home for some BS. Some of them rip off their drivers, some of them are more generous.
4) some DSPs pay more for each rescue. Make sure you select your DSP carefully.
5) selection criteria is pretty low and it's possible they're running out of bodies.
6) Amazon is a human unfriendly borg hive and it permeates everything. My furst dsp that i really liked was suddenly shut down. Yes they shut down your business and give you a couple months to go ekswhere.

Overall Amazon needs to pay better, it's almost criminal what you go through for the money. It is good experience in some ways. I think if you catch a signing bonus and you want a short term gig and youre young it might be worth a try. You'll learn the importance of time management and efficiency

You're right about all of it. I'm a driver for them, but the honeymoon is over! I just called the ethics line and narked on my boss. I doubt anything will change, and I'm pretty sure I won't be there much longer. I just downloaded a job app. But you really are spot on. I actually loved this job until my boss started behaving badly. 😊❤

Thank you for what you did here. Even a year later, what you are saying is actually saving people's lives. Great video. Everyone should see that first video. The four times getting the phone to read the packages thing on a broiling hot day is simple insanity. The Devil tried to break this man that day and he failed. Thank God.

Was a DA for 2 yrs, the job absolutely sucks and everything he said in the first video is 100% true. I only stayed on so long because I’m a stick it out kinda guy & I actually liked the DSP owner (not so much the management underneath him).

In my two years, I’ve seen well over 100 or so people come and go. That’s not an exaggeration either. The turnover rate on this job is insane. That tells you all you need to know about this job tbh

I promise you that these trolls attacking you have NEVER delivered for Amz.! I did, and even our lead drivers would absolutely agree with you 100% The worst an actual driver would say, "You had it easy on a nursery route!" and then go on about regular routes are 175-200 stops. When I started, it took 2 months for my body to stop screaming. I enjoyed the job, I liked the exercise. I also knew that it was not sustainable for long-term employment. The only way you can do it is to skip lunch, pee in bottles & cups, and LITERALLY RUN back & forth to the van! It is a troll lying that says otherwise!
The DSP's are nothing more than a lead driver or department managers with a lot more to lose. Amz changes rules weekly that make it harder to hit the # of stops per hr required JUST to keep DSP from getting incentive pay/bonuses. It hurts the drivers the most. Amz has it set up perfectly for them to deny responsibility for the drivers and keep drivers from unionizing! It's brilliant for amazon! They can keep making millions every year while drivers barely earn a living wage while killing themselves to do it!.... and Amz gets to deny responsibility & blame DSP. Must wear Amz uniform, drive Amz van, , meet Amz standards for driving & stops per hour, violations & employment dictated by Amz and Only deliver For Amz But....no, not Amz employees. 😂
Don't respond to trolls! Every real😅 Amz driver will agree with you and add to the list!!

All I will say is that you are untitled to your opinion. I also will say that if everyone thought like you this country would grind to a standstill. If people said I don’t want to be a Cop because people hate Cops and are disrespectful to them we wouldn’t have law and order. If people said I don’t want to work at Walmart because people are rude, we wouldn’t have access to goods and services. If people said I hate this country and refused to join the military are country would be over run. No job on this planet is perfect. It is up to that person to see the good in that job and the benefits of it. I used to be think like you in my 30’s and it got old real fast having to constantly be looking for work just because I was looking to check for that “perfect” job.

I’m willing to bet that some of negative feedback are from DSP operators.

The reason these DA's defend their jobs is because they suffer from Stockholm Syndrome and nothing more. In Plato's Allegory of the Cave, you were the philosopher who freed himself. However, the other inmates (the DA's) of the cave do not even desire to leave their prison, for they know no better life.

Everybody says Fed ex and Ups are even worse! They are paid a lot better but conditions are the same. I cant even imagine. We have a lot of people that have made their way thru all the delivery jobs.

Spot on man. It really depends on geo location and routes for different levels of suck. But they all are level suck, and doesn't need to be. Rock on bro!

The 7 hour dude ran back and forth to and fron the truck, didn't walk. Unless he has a miracle route. Joker.
