A scriptural explanation (some would call it a defense) of miracles, signs, and wonders. When we examine the passages which are often used to combat modern-day miracles, we see that, in fact they encourage Jesus’ followers in 2020 (and beyond) to walk in His healing gifts.

I was baptized last year, September 2020 walked outside at 3:00 AM the morning after and looked up at the sky clouds rolling. The moon was full and bright beautiful morning, from horizon to horizon the clouds moved across the moon lit sky. Then in an instant they stopped, when I say stop it was like someone put the brakes on heaven stood still it lasted until I took a step forward and it began to move again.

The next morning 8:00 am my bowels had turned to water. I am 55 and have never had diarrhea and this was water, after that for 5 months I waked in sort of transcendental state. I lost all of my long term memory overnight and everything I looked at if it were living had a glow especially in the eye.

If it were concrete or something not living it had a numerical representation of some type, (unless like a flower it had a numerical meaning) I am not a spiritual person but I have always believed in god. I lost 20 pounds and my hair turned at least three shades whiter in the space of a few months.

Anything with a pattern was numerical, the numbers in someway were words.. Lights were 10 times brighter than they are now. Peoples eyes had small rectangles of light instead of pupils almost like they had a mini projector in the eye projecting a screen on the face of the eye.

I saw in the eye of some total blackness no pupil total black but it shined like some black glass marble.

I saw more than I can write three books on, I had dreams as it were inside dreams.

I saw colors that have no color, I heard sounds that were not sounds.. Sings and wonders, somewhere in the bible it talks about a guy name Ezikiel he saw some wheels and colors and he sat for several days astonished. If he sat for seven days for what he saw in a few hours in surprised I lived through it.

One thing I remember is total and complete fear at times when I say terrified I mean trembling. The orders of magnitude of power were so incomprehensible to me that I felt like less than dust or dirt I would have felt good thinking I was even a worm.

The only thing I could say they gave me any relief was hallelujah.

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?

The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20).

Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform.

If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.

Bill is being persecuted for standing up for the normal operation of Christianity. Those who accuse Bill of an imbalance have no concept of "normal" as fully demonstrated in the Scripture, nor do they understand the faith expectation necessary for the fullfillment of such things.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily I say unto thee that except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Accept Jesus as your savior, repent of sin, ask the Holy Spirit to indwell you and baptize you with power from on high, and then dwell in the Word of God, praying in tongues as often as possible. You will hear the Holy Spirit and when you hear the Holy Spirit obey and be led by the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit minister through you. It is not your ministry. It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit being ministered through you. Don't pursue a life of miracles. Obey and follow the Holy Spirit that dwells in you. Then people will be healed, delivered, helped, blessed and become born again.

This statement of Jesus, "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah", reminds us that signs alone convert no one. It's easy to place far too much confidence in signs and wonders as tools to bring people to faith in Jesus. The problem isn't that the signs are themselves weak, but that "a wicked and adulterous generation seeks after them". The Bible gives repeated examples of those who saw remarkable signs, yet did not believe.

Focus on repentance leave the miracles to the Lord to decide how and when.not everyone has the gift to heal.not everyone has the gift to phrophesy

That is not true. Jesus performed miracles so that the people will believe in Him. That was the whole point. So that the world will believe that He is the Son of God (John 10:38). Jesus was rejected by His people even after all the miracles he performed to prove to them He is the Christ. He sent us the Holy Spirit to do what? To remind us of everything he taught us (Word) and to comfort us in a challenging world. Take up your cross and follow him and trust the Sovereignty of our Lord.

Why can't Bill heal his sight? Why is he wearing glassed does he not have enough faith. Context is King. Extracting scripture out of context is false doctrine.

2 Peter 2:1 = But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
