Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, didn't he? God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4, 5! No more wickedness on earth, Psalm 37:9-11! After Armageddon the meek will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalm 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21, 22! Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28, 28! There will only be one government over the entire earth forever, Daniel 2:44! Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14! Can we believe these promises from the Almighty God? Of course we can, NUMBERS 23:19; Isaiah 42:8; Psalm 83:18!

What about the great signs worked by the 2nd beast of Rev 13? As it says in my RSV Bible, "it [the 2nd beast] works great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men." I believe this began to be fulfilled on a large scale after the airplane was invented, and then used to drop bombs. During WWII, lots and lots of bombs were dropped from high in the heavens. Of course, when a bomb is dropped, you don't actually see fire coming down. But if it is daytime, you can see the bombs falling, and know that there is fire 'in the bombs' which will be released when the bombs hit the ground.

This climaxed in WWII with the atom (nuclear) bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, where just one bomb could destroy a large portion of a large city. Then in 1952, there was the first hydrogen bomb test, equal to 10 million tons of TNT in its energy release. And in 1961 the USSR tested the largest H-bomb ever, nicknamed "Tsar Bomba, " meaning, "The King of Bombs." It was equal to 50 million tons of TNT in its energy release, and had a fireball 5 miles in diameter. An unprotected observer standing 60 miles away would have gotten 3rd degree burns from the radiant heat of the fireball. It's going to be difficult for some other candidate for "the great sign of the beast" to beat that as a MONSTROUS demonstration of BRUTE power!

It's also interesting to note that in addition to falling from high in the sky, an H-bomb explosion fits the "fire from heaven" idea in another way: an H-bomb gets its explosive energy release from the thermonuclear fusion of hydrogen nuclei, to become helium nuclei. This is generally the same sort of nuclear fire which lights up the sun and other stars in the heavens. So by recreating the fire of the stars here on Earth where it had never existed before, the men who created the first H-bomb explosions had (at least metaphorically) brought the fire of the stars down to Earth.

Also note that the first Biblical example of a "fire from heaven" is found in Genesis 19, when God caused fire to come down from heaven to destroy the ancient 'cities' (small towns by today's standards) of Sodom and Gomorrah. So nuclear bombs are the functional equivalent of that early "fire from heaven" in that they give rulers of modern nations the god-like power to destroy the cities of their enemies with fire which comes down from heaven.

So if the great sign of the beast described in Rev 13:13 has already been fulfilled by nuclear bomb explosions, can you guess who or what the 2nd beast of Rev 13 symbolizes? How about the 1st beast? I believe these two beasts symbolize our modern Science and Technology at large. Science is the 1st beast, the one that is worshiped as an invincible hero by many people, and Technology (or applied science) is the 2nd beast, the one that works all the great signs, the signs that serve as proofs of the great truth and power of modern science. For example, a successful H-bomb test demonstrates the truth and power of nuclear physics.

I've found hundreds of gematria (a form of numerology) coincidences which corroborate my conclusion that the final 666 beast of Rev 13 will be a talking AI (artificial intelligence) made in the image of science. Here are just a few:
666 = The image of the H-bomb = The great IBM 6+6+6 AI god = The IBM 6+6+6 image of science AI god
