Canada already has a free trade agreement with the EU called CETA. Discussion of EU membership is really about finding ways to deepen the economic and security partnership between the 2. More trade with the EU would help make Canada less dependent/beholden to the US. Then there's security. Canada is in NATO but with the US attacking the West and aligning with R*ZZia, its future isn't secure.

To be European isn't just about the continent. It is also a way of thinking, government, healthcare, how you treat wealthy vs poor, human rights, how religion is viewed in a politics etc.... it is alot more than just the continent.

Maybe let them talk… yeesh, damn. It’s obvious—Canada is already heavily influenced by France and the Brits. The British monarch is still Canada’s official head of state! They also fought in WWII alongside European allies. Given how the U.S. has been increasingly hostile towards Canada and even Greenland, it’s not that crazy to consider closer ties with Europe. Economically, culturally, and historically, Canada already shares a lot with the EU.

Canada has actually opened talks with Europe. If Canada joins the EU they will be better protected.

Australia has a maritime border with France, European heritage and cultural values, and unlike Canada it already is on Eurovision. I would like to see them in the EU.

IT IS DIFFERENT to Trump. No. 1: The EU would no force Canada to become a Member-State. No. 2: Canada would not lose it´s sovereignty in the EU. Alone that are two major differences.

It is a good to have open topic we can say we don't think they will join but in the end of the day we don't know the time will tell it self but I'm just going to point this out France made new submarine and sent to Canada maybe Canada is buying or have a discussion on joining Eu if America cut them self from Nato I doubt that America will cut them self out of Nato.. I do think Canada are just strengthening their relation ship with Eu with the free trade deal rather then join Eu but if America cuts them self from Nato anything can happens I suppose

Sorry!! but a Canadian has already won eurovision before, for our friends in europe aka Switzerland, by Ms. Celine Dion for her song "Ne partez pas sans moi". Put some respect on that name please! 🤣 thanks.
