As someone with sensitive skin, I’ll add that a proper skincare regimen along with proper prep/post shave makes a world of difference.
Thanks to my wife and setting aside the male ego aspect of it, the products she introduced me to use at night and in between shaves have finally helped me get zero bumps/burn etc.

Just starting and having some trouble. Lots of nicks and red, painful neck. Face is easy, neck is trouble! You make it look so easy.

Geo talking about doing a "sensitive skin" shave... you could give this guy a rusted box cutter and some spackle, and he'd come away with a BBS face talking about not getting any nicks or weepers 😂

No idea why I like this. Geo is strangely watchable.

I used to get bad irritation and I dreaded shaving. Then I switched to cold water and everything changed

Last year I found the Rockwell 2C at a local thrift shop… she had 4 all in boxes. They were selling them for $29.95 each. I told some friends and co-workers to go try it out. When I went back in, there was one left, so I bought it😁and the lady said, “man people have really been buying this razor, you are getting the last one!”
I said I know, I sent them here😂. Since then they all have told me how much they Love the razor and they are glad I pushed them into Wet Shaving! I think I have recruited 17 people since Aug 2022🤣. I always recommend the Rockwell 6C or 6S. Just a great Razor/company and I think it comes with a lifetime warranty.

Hello Geo.
My name is Carlos and I live in Spain.
I am a follower of your videos and I have learned a lot from them.
I love the classic shave and I always recommend it to my
friends and family.
I always discover soaps, creams, DH razors and blades
in your videos and with your wonderful reviews, you do it to us
easier for those of us who want to improve in this world of shaving
classic.
I thank you for everything and I send you a big hug from Spain.
P.S. I have used a translator, sorry if the English is not very correct.

The best and tested way for me is to use the coldest tap water, a sharp blade, an aggressive razor ( r41 or rockvell 6s with 6/5 plate ), one with the grain pass, and if you need a second pass do it across the grain. Avoid against the grain passes!! I put preshave cream always before lathering, and the lather is made by cold water as well. I apply the lather on my face before first pass at least for 2 minutes so that the hairs get well hydrated. After shave rinse with cold water and apply aftershave.

Great tutorial for any new shaver. The Rockwell 2C/6C/6S are excellent safety razors for the new and experienced. Can't go wrong with Proraso products. Think I'll do an all-Proraso shave tomorrow. Then I'll definitely have a great shave and have a great day!

Thanks for clarifying how the plate orientation dictates the number.

I've got very sensitive skin and I don't do three passes. Two is all my face will take. I also run new blades across corrugated cardboard once or twice to take the new edge down just a bit. I've never thought of doing the first pass on the 3 plate and the second on the 1 plate, but I'm going to try that. Thanks Geofatboy.

Geo, I have super sensitive skin and have been DE shaving for years. The hair on my neck grows sideways and down from my chin, and sideways and up from the bottom. No matter what I’ve tried, i still get the redness and bumps. No matter the razor (have even tried shavettes), brush, shave cream, post cream, cold water blade, everything. Would absolutely LOVE some advice on how to shave with this kind of beard map. Love the vids, and hope to hear from you.

I can't wait for the head shaving tutorials. A few weeks ago, you told me it couldn't be that hard. I'm fairly certain you would find it more difficult than you think.

Another excellent “how to” video from GFB. A definite shaving master. I’m quite new to shaving with a safety razor, and GFB and Kenny Shaves are my two favourite teachers! Well done. Thanks again.

I find the proraso pre shave to do absolutely nothing for my super sensitive skin but the art of shaving pre shave oil works it prevents razor burn and ingrowns for me at least

The three ladies in my home are sensitive to any scents at all. I landed on using Proraso white shaving cream and it not only solved their scent concerns but it is a great shaving cream offering me wonderful close and comfortable shaves. Plus, Proraso is not at all expensive for a high quality soap. Guess I should try their preshave as well. Thanks Geo, for the great videos and for the great Shave Nation service and product line.
