Coyote attacks and kills family pet

I have 3 Doxies and NEVER let them off the porch, without me....never, they cannot defend themselves, we keep a gate on the proch, and we don't leave them on the gated porch alone either...maybe I'm to over protective, but my dogs arent smaart enough to run, they will try and take the biggest animal on, they have "little dog syndrom" and these coyotes can scale, a 6ft fence...poor little guy, not a peaceful way to leave this earth..

Coyote's not only go after Dachsunds, but they also can take down German shepherds and Labrador retrievers. Coyotes are smart and often "gang up" on bigger animals. They also jump fences very well.

Last night my dogs went outside with me to take out the trash, they saw something in the field below our driveway, and ran down, barking. It looked like deer, and I knew they wouldn't chase deer, so I wasn't alarmed. The "deer" didn't run. There were five, and my Dachshund, Beagle and Blue Heeler ran right in among them. This seemed kind of strange, because they didn't run off, they were acting PLAYFUL!  Jumping, wagging, acting like playful dogs.... then I realized they were coywolves.  I started screaming for my dogs, which all came back but the beagle. My daughter had to take the car down into the field (about a hundred acre field) and get the beagle. I know they are around, we hear them howl and frequently yipping, I've seen them frequently, but never saw them so close to my house, and so unafraid of people.  This is troubling. I'm not sure our cattle will be safe next years calving time.

if people would stop building in the coyotes territory, then the coyotes would not retaliate. they are simply trying to survive

this is why you need atleast one dog that can fight off coyotes pitbulls german sheperds huskys anything of intimidation size think to keep them away

I went to a park called abenshine in Wisconsin with my friend then we heard coyotes tipping behind us and we ran then turned back saw fucking 10 to 12 behind us then we reached the street
