While that's absolutely horrible how LGBTQ+ people were treated back then, even in Germany, the love story of Hans and Victor is quite beautiful and powerful. Even though they are fictional characters and the movie ends after Hans broke into the gold shop, I really hope that they were reunited and were happy together.

Title misleading ! The cellmate is NOT a serial killer ! He killed once - his cheating wife's lover ! So, he a killer, but not serial ! As for the rest, the movie seems to be quite interesting ! Those were the days !
