If mounting, drill out using a 3/8 drill bit and a 5/16 bolt fits in perfectly to anything.

I've figured out that to be successful with Wind and Solar You need to Double the size of the system to carry a determined load. otherwise you find the weak link very quickly.

I couldn't see how you attached the ring ends to the battery. Did you just hold them against the batt posts and clip them?
