And those famous words “you’re adults, you’ll figure it out” when doing something ‘unsafe’. Love it!

It's great that Mr. Prowse reviewed this unit. I have been keeping my eye out for a unit in this price point range. But, I would never buy it because of the phone app. I recently got a cooking thermometer which had an app that required an account, permissions to everything on my phone and my location. I know this is the direction many manufacturers are going but I will never buy another item which requires an app that needs intrusive access to my phone, location, and home network.

I've watched a lot of Will's videos. He does this all day long and his excitement at 15:31 was beyond adorable. You're doing what you love, kid. What a life.

I love how this guy breaks down in detail, amazing channel.

2 of those units, 6 of their batteries and 10 kw of solar for $16k - that’s an amazing price tag for energy independence.
Turning this field into a plug and play playground is the real gem.

Will you are a solar genius. I would love to see some videos on how to hook solar up to your homes existing wiring.

I'm an old guy but this has become so simple even I could do it, my god I wish I was younger

This fellow always presents really good and timely information. He is a prime example of the phrase 'he is a strong will'.

Awesome. Getting close to simple, practical, compact DIY for a small homeowner as a tandem to or backup from grid. Would love to see you demonstrate a system such as this, with multiple rack batteries, outputting through to a manual transfer switch. I'd use it as a guide for sure. Even if giving up 240v loads, like hot water heater/ dryer for simplicity made it more attainable.

8:45 that's flipping smart. I'm sure building packs from scratch might be cheaper, but it's hard to argue against the simplicity of a bms and inverter that work together like this.

Will Prowse hits it out of the ballpark as usual!
I started my solar adventures as a know
Thanks to will, I installed my modest solar system myself complete with shunt and monitor. 600w on the roof and 2 strings of 200w each on the ground in the form of easy-to-stow (caution) flexible (freestanding frame) panels. These are deployed only on extremely coudy consecutive days. All charging 3-100ah l-ions.
We are in our RV for ten months a year for the last ten years. Our batts rarely drop below 80%. We want for nothing. Ice maker, micro, 4-5 hours of tv, etc. No AC
We adjust for temperature by location. Been in AZ all winter. Love life! Heading to Oregon (Mt Hood area)for the summer. Our home is in St George Utah.
Thanks Will!

That is amazing! Thank you Will for all you do. I am getting ready to purchase all my parts. I calculated that I will need a 7.5kWh System because it is a 750sf house and I NEED to run a mini-split. I figured that I would need 5 -300W panels. I followed your link and it looks like I would need two EG4 units and now it looks like the two EG4-All in one will work. Overall, I believe the little house should be okay with 5kWh but I wanted to plan for rainy days in SoCal. I would appreciate yours or any other subscriber's comments. Thanks again!

Seems like the perfect system for an RV or Mobile Solar System. Thank you for checking all the features Will!

I'm a technical writer, so I think almost everything should come with a usable user manual. Something like a PDF file that you can download works, but it's nice to have printed documentation right there.

Of course more documentation keeps tech writers employed, so I have some bias on this subject. :)

Hey Will, love the review. Would love a second video on this model. Just got two of them to run in parallel. Putting 2200W of PV into it with 10K of battery. RV life!

When you wiggle and pull on conductors to see if they are properly connected, you MUST re tighten the lug(terminal). I learned this 1st year in my ibew 569 electrical apprenticeship.

This technology has really exploded in the last year or so. I spent more to have less building with separate components about 18 months ago, but I don't regret the learning experience.

If only I knew how to apply what you just tried to teach me! I desperately need to get power, and I will not connect to the grid! Thank you for your knowledge. God bless you for all of your guidance…

This is incredible. If I was starting my system over, this is absolutely the way I'd go.
