Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #756
Date of adventure: 10/11/23

Exploring a remote cave in northern Nevada where, way back in 1911, a couple of guano miners discovered the mummified body of a 6'6" red headed man. The local Paiutes weren't red headed, nor were they that tall....so who was this mummy, and where did he come from? Could he have been a descendant of Viking explorers?

I recently spoke to a Pyramid Lake Tribal Member and he told me the same story about the giants. He took it as truth passed on from his grandpa as well as many others in his community. He also added they had a double row of teeth. Interestingly enough, there are indigenous stories, and geoglyphs, of cannibalistic giants in Arizona as well.

Thanks for the cave visit and Vista. I'd heard about this cave and the red-headed cannibals being trapped and burnt there.
I think those dogs were saying, "Hey it's Wonderhussy" I want a pet, I want a pet.

WOW - You are fantastic this is a great story. There are very similar stories about the red-haired giants in Shasta County caves in Northern California.

Nice sunglasses. Better than the red, white, and blue pair. These look very classy.

I used to deliver materials to a pallet manufacturing company there, I heard of the cave, never made it out there. Thanks for sharing this with us! Makes a person wonder if Kennewick Man might be tied in with this mystery...

Hey Sarah Jane, there are also caves down at Fallon that a lot of native artifacts were found in by UNR students doing a dig in one . Some of the items are on display at Churchill Cty Muesem in Fallon . The cave is located in the range of hills at Grimes Point about 10 miles East of Fallon on US 50 . Check that out sometime . Harry in AK (used to live in Fallon for a lot of years )

Thanks so much Sarah for making a video of this cave! I've been wanting to for such a long time that I was almost tempted to send you an email asking you to. If you were close by, I would give you a great big hug. Thank you so much Sarah! Enjoyed the video.

I've been to Lovelock, when I was going to Reno when I was on my home from Pahrump to Canada. Lovely little town.
I share your love of Nevada, and it's beauty.

We took our boys to this cave a few years back. Then my brother and his son took the boys here last year. We were all fascinated. I love your videos and hearing your storytelling.
