The full evolution of these “influencers” to actual NPCs is now complete.

I have no words to describe how disturbing this is.

Who knew Tik-Tok was going to be China's best weapon...

As somebody who has no social media I had no idea it's gotten this bad out there...

Never has a generation documented itself so much, yet achieved so little.

15 years ago when the idiocracy joke started I would never in my wildest nightmares have thought we’d be here.

Always remember that there are tons of people who are worse than these tiktokers: Those who pay them money.

The real problem are the losers actually sending them money.

We are literally documenting the downfall of society via social media.

Can’t wait for historians to write about this point in time

I think this is an interesting study in psychology. People that feel entirely powerless in their own lives pay money so they can cause someone to do something and get pleasure from having that ability. Some kid pays a dollar so some girl says "yum yum ice cream" on command, he feels like he has power over her, he can make her dance.

Normally I watch these videos for comic relief, but to see the tears of the decorated brave veteran broke my heart. It made the absurdity doubly painful.

The worst of all are the people who feed this kind of behaviour.

I'm not even an American myself, yet I could still feel my eyes tear up after watching such a decorated war veteran cry for the lost cause his country has become in what could be the final years of his life how terrible it must feel to watch your struggle and sacrifice go down the drain like this.

Hearing what the veteran has to say, and seeing him weep, breaks my heart. Because he’s right. I just hate that this is what we’ve become.

damn..i'm so happy i grew up believing television was a waste of time and NEVER spent a MINUTE on TikTok. i'm a failure in a lot of ways but after watching this i can't help to feel proud of myself right now.

The sad part is...people actually paying and giving gifts to those 'NPC'. Respect for the veteran, he's right.

Too much internet for a lifetime. Thank you Joey, for making me not regret having Tiktok or any app like that.

The really depressing thing about this madness is that she earns more in a week with her imaginary food than a hard-working steel worker makes in a year. We live in the most mentally disturbed society of all time. The only thing you can do is reduce your own circle of friends to like-minded people.

People have traded in their dignity for money and it's disgusting
