For unmanned spacecraft landings like this, animations are generally used to translate the telemetry/current state of a spacecraft into a visual, they aren't necessarily for pleasing footage (unfortunately). An example aside from ISRO is the Antares|Cygnus rocket; after stage separation, an animation is shown to visualize the current state of the second solid rocket stage. Despite having the mind-blowing capabilities of modern cameras, maintaining and communicating data from this equipment is more data and power that can be dedicated to scientific and engineering instruments. Simply put, it isn't necessary or worth the mass, power, and data cost. In contrast, the manned lunar landings were different; the LM had a much larger payload capacity, and also had human operators who could operate cameras and other photographical equipment externally. ISRO's achievement is certainly monumental, and the photos we are getting are astonishing!

They're not claiming that is the actual moon lander 🤦 if you watch the full video it's clearly a CGI representation of its position. Kinda like when your on a plane and you can look at the world map and see your plane's position along its flight path.. nobody actually thinks they're trying to fool you into thinking there's a camera above the plane filming you..
