Thank you for doing this step by step. *Very* helpful for beginners! Most DIY videos with integrated amps skip the "what goes where" part.

how do you charge the battery? does the charge cable comes along with the amp package? Is it included or do you need to buy it seperate. What you showed the "dc power connector" is not the something to charge the batteries right?

This helps, but I realized that my board was arranged slightly different. For the control panel part make sure you follow the wiring guide that comes with your kit.

I've built a number (more than a dozen) portable speakers using some or all the components of the various parts express kits. I never use the flat packs because fine woodworking is part of my hobby and like to build my own version of their tried and true designs. I've used that control panel on several speakers and its really the best way to complete any speaker using that series of amp boards, other than the latest high-power version that have separate potentiometers. In any case, one caution is that I would not use the control panel in a speaker chamber unless you are prepared to fully coat the inside of the panel with silicone. There's really no way to get it completely sealed with all those penetrations. I build in a chamber for the panel, amp and battery board, sealed and separated from speaker chambers. I realize this particular kit does that, but you need to do the same if you are using the panel is something custom. BTW, PE's 2.1 kits ("executive", and "blast box") are way better, but somewhat more complicated to build.

Troubleshoot help. Building my second one. Everything works while plugged into DC, but when I unplug from DC, to use batteries, no luck. I tried re arranging batteries, cables, but I can’t get it to work on battery power. Advice?

Hello, thanks for this helpful video.

Question: why are you using crossovers while there is a DSP chip on the KAB board?
