I am 59 when I was 17 I had a 76 trans am with a 400 engine in it . The lifters would start making a loud clattering sound. And I was told to put marvel mystery oil in my oil when I changed it, and it would literally take the sound away. So I know from experience 100% that marvel mystery oil works and it’s been around for a very long time. PS thanks for all the videos that you do. My dad used MMO all the time back in the day. If he didn't have any he ran transmission fluid through the carb and after killing lots of skeeters the truck ran better. My dad could build motors in the dark. He said all feel of the parts. I miss my dad

I've never heard of the term "hot soaking" engines before nor did I know you could put the mystery oil into the spark plug chamber. I learn a lot of new things by watching your videos and I appreciate them!

My dad bought a brand new chevy pickup with 305 V8 in 1978 & used a small amount of Marvel's Mystery oil every so often, he drove it well over 20 years, & put a couple of hundred thousand miles on it, then i drove it a couple of years adding more miles, and drove it hard, when we sold it it was running quiet & smooth as a champ....

If you remove carbon buildup from the combustion chamber that will lower the compression ratio and lower the compression reading that you get. The idea is to remove the carbon that could potentially cause pre ignition and that's what marvel did.

I learned from my father to use marvel to free up rings before putting fire (ignition) to an engine that has been sitting for a while. Used it to free up a seized ford 302 that had been sitting for over 13 years by putting in every spark plug hole and allowing to sit a few days. Next turn by hand to free up and spin with starter once it spins freely. Finally put plugs back in and smoke out the mosquitoes in the neighborhood. Compression was nice and even 150 psi.

Marvel Mystery Oil works wonders!
I have been using it on my 2003 Acura MDX Tech since I was 16.
5 years later at 260, 000 miles, the engine purs and runs flawlessly.

I have also been getting fairly clear oil at changes!
Clearer than when I had bought the truck at 110k miles!

4 years after this video was made... My man, you have come a long way. You’re so much more confident and able to be yourself, which we love. You have a great personality. Your testing methods have greatly improved also. The quality of your videos has improved as well. In the newer videos, you just seem more relaxed and not nervous at all. While this comment doesn’t apply directly to this video, I admit to feeling weird when I go to a store and think “ wait a minute “ and look up your videos to get the best products! You do great videos and take a lot of guess work out of the equation. Sometimes I don’t like the outcome, but my bias gets me nowhere, your tests do.
