As long as you follow the instructions MMO is perfectly safe to use on newer cars. You are only putting 2 ounces for every 10 gallons. It is so diluted it will NOT harm your catalytic converter. MMO also helps keep the fuel pump lubricated making it last longer. That is a pretty big deal since most cars now have the fuel pump inside the gas tank and are VERY expensive to replace.

MMO is very similar to ATF. My grandfather used to put a gallon of atf with every 50 of diesel on his tractor trailer. At 500, 000 miles, we tore the engine down and the internals were spotless clean.

I'm a believer that MMO, when used correctly, can do good things in a vehicle. I have a 2002 Avalanche that I've owned for a few years. I added some MMO to the crankcase a while back, because on cold mornings (we don't get many of those), I'd get some lifter clatter for a minute or so if I didn't let the truck warm up for a few minutes beforehand. A couple OCI's with MMO in the pan cleared that up, and the slight lifter tick at operating temperature went away as well. I use it in the fuel as well with every fillup, and haven't had to replace the notoriously crappy fuel pump yet, and now I'm at almost 300k miles on the old girl. Everyone looks at the odometer in disbelief when they hear how quiet and smooth the engine runs, almost silent at idle, with a hint of that typical GM alternator whine.

I put MMO in my gas tank for long trips. Improves my mpg and I stand by it. Only product besides Bell Automotive that works for me.

I drive 60 miles to work 6 days a week. I bought an 04 Honda accord and put MMO in the tank at every fill up. I never had an exhaust or engine problem.

It’s a great product. I use that on my 02 buick le sabré with 375000 and counting. Use it in the gas tank and engine. No problems at all in fact my car gives me 31 mpg and engine idles very smooth. Excellent oil.

I found a good use for Marvel Mystery Oil as a solvent for cleaning my M1911 .45 ACP semi-auto pistol. Instead of doing a full-strip disassembly on the gun I suspend the gun in a bucket of MMO, completely immersing it, and let it soak for a couple of hours. It cleans and lubricates all of the parts very nicely.

I bought a car that had a seized engine. Poured MMO into intake and in each spark plug hole. Waited 2 days and it wasn't seized anymore.

Been using Marvel in the gas tank about 20 yrs on a 94 Ford Ranger 3.0 240k miles, emissions no problems. Pour about 1/2 bottle in crankcase 2 days before doing oil change. Love the stuff.

Many years ago I was given a '71 Dodge Dart w/a 225 cubic inch 30° Economy Six, AKA the Slant Six engine. The engine at idle sounded as though it had a burnt valve, a near-misfire if you will. I ran some MMO in a few tankfuls of gas, and it then ran like a top!

MMO is indeed good stuff.

Good information about the MMO. I used it in my 02 Cavalier. Didn't seem to harm anything. Then again, I was only adding to a full tank of gas, once every oil change. I was also adding it to the oil.
I bought it new, and owned it for 10 years. Over 300, 000 miles. I sold it for $700. To a college student. Who I believe still has it.

I've been using MMO on all my modern cars. Meaning year 2000 and up. I put it in my gas. I do it every time I do an oil change. And esp more in the winter. I've never had issues.
