South Korea and the United States are discussing a possible joint nuclear exercise according to President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Yoon's remark came in an interview published on Monday in South Korea's Chosun Ilbo newspaper, where he said that the talks are focused on joint planning and exercises with U.S. nuclear forces.
The president went on to say that although nuclear assets belong to the United States, Seoul and Washington are expected to plan, train and share information on operations jointly.
He added that the United States feels quite positive regarding the idea.
