I bought this keyboard a couple months ago. Important notes,
Their reviews on their site are controlled. I submitted a review voicing my frustrations with their customer service and they won't list it. It goes through a "screening process" before it shows up. So while I like the keyboard, I have some problems with how they treated me as a customer and their ethics.
Their responses to me were slow and lacking any meaningful information. The keyboard is great, but the purchasing experience was so poor I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Ordered one of these keyboards for my son last November. It finally was delivered last week. Took 10 months. Horrible customer service communication. It is a high quality product when it finally showed up, but be prepared for a horrible buying experience. I pray I never need to contact support for an issue.

My guess for the round screen on the "dock" being so vibrant compared to the others, is that it looks suspiciously like a smartwatch screen

I pre-ordered the Max Version of this Keyboard back in 2020 and was told all the way up until Feb 2021 that my order would be shipped EVENTUALLY. I sent about 3 separate emails across the time span to see any updates on my keyboard but they kept giving me the same reason, COVID and that eventually it will ship. It was about $320 for my config iirc with Speed Silvers and double shot caps, and I gave up on them after seeing them constantly post on social media about random partners receiving the keyboard while not honoring the initial preorders me and a lot of other people made. Also found it was way cheaper to get a good TKL and a stream deck for less than the price of the one keyboard, I really did want it but at least I saved some money in the end by cancelling it. I would love to see this idea from Corsair with a Stream Deck attachment to the keyboard that replaces the typical numbpad buttons with the chiclet streamdeck screen buttons but still have the option to keep numbers on the pad if you arent using it for a stream deck at the moment.

One thing to note: their software isn't available for Linux or Mac, so the keyboard is kinda only compatible with Windows (except for just typing I guess)

It feels wrong to cover this keyboard without Taran’s opinion

Taran probably doesn't approve: That's a high cost per additional macro key.

0:17 I almost forgot about that keyboard 😭 I wanted it so bad when I was a kid, LCD screen on every key obviously that's the future! (2005 me)

I just received mine last week. Love it so far. Highly suggest spending the extra $30 for the double shot PBT keycaps ... I think the standard ABS caps are really cheap, and frankly probably intentionally so, knowing that as an enthusiast piece, you're probably swapping them out anyway. Holding up the ABS cap to the PBT - there is no comparison. The PBT's are substantially thicker, have a textured matte finish, and just have a much more satisfying feel. Worth $30 and 15 mins to swap them out.

$270 for the max
$150 for the core
$130 for the barebones

You're welcome.

I have one of these and I love it! The story's about customer service are true though. My board came about three months late with virtually no communication. Now from what I can tell they keyboard is incredibly well maid so it seems like these flaws in service are mostly on the front facing end of the company.

The amount of customer service horror stories in the comments says about everything I want to know about this keyboard.

Me: *Super excited over a solid mechanical keyboard with lots of functionality*
Also me: *Expectation dropped from 100 to 1 when hearing about the customer service*

Seriously tho most people say it's a good keyboard so if you weren't in a rush, like.. at all, go for it i suppose.

I've been using this keyboard since December and it's been pretty great. I recent upgraded my switches and relubed clipped the stabilizers. It feel just as good as I would expect any custom keyboard to feel.

Edit:
"this keyboard is very poggers yo"
insult to injury.

I'm amazed about the keyboard since i bought it. I can't tell anything about customer service and shipping time, because i've bought it in a store, but i've heard of the issues. Bit i've got to say, it is a really unique unboxing experience and a very special keyboard. Definitely worth the money

As someone with RSI I can't use a regular keyboard for much time without massive pain, however I can type all day long on an ergonomic keyboard. To this end surely an ergonomic must therefore help prevent RSI in anyone who doesn't yet have it, so it'd be nice to see more keyboards move towards being ergo.

Most people I've talked to that don't use one are put off by the change in layout but it doesn't take long to adapt.

I bought and modded this thing with yellow gateron (lubed and filmed) and holee mod the stabs last week. The keyboard is basically the same experience if you have a CTRL low profile board except that you have obviously have more features with the modular components. Overall it's worth purchase if you think these modular components are important to you. Otherwise, there are obviously cheaper options if you're an enthusiast. Also, one thing the video and most reviewers do not mention is that even though it has Razer Chroma combability, the RGB options are extremely limited and barely better than the options that already came with. Even worse, you lose even more features like individual LED for each button if you try to turn on Razer Chroma combability. This mode feels pretty useless right now because it neither gives you the full RGB custom and modes of Razer keyboards or even full features of the basic Everest software that it comes with.
