When the case foam was removed, the sound kind of reminded me of rain drops, which seemed pretty fitting

The fact that they even showed you their production and business plans is insane lmao

Don't inhale the copium because you dropped $300 on your build, but instead, be VERY glad the Rainy75 exists. It gets people into the hobby without the unnecessary headaches of finding in-stock keycaps, reluctantly paying for overpriced barebones kits or the "fun activity" of find that solder joint that just fried your microcontroller. Hopefully there will be more options like the Rainy75.

I really appreciate that you included the name of the keyboard in the title unlike many other videos.

75%, VIA compatible, in stock, 135$ full built, that's insane!

Wow, it sounds awesome stock, and I LOVE the pastel blue color scheme!
And it has all four HOME, END, PGUP and PGDN keys instead of tossing one of them out for a gimmicky knob or LCD.
OH and of course thank you Hipyo for your awesome Vidyo!

I just got mine like two weeks ago thanks to this video. It sounded great in the video and it sounds so good in person. I don't remember you mentioning that this thing is absurdly heavy but I regret nothing. It's so pretty and sounds amazing. This was a great review, thank you!

The board sounds about 9000x times better with foam than without.
Also, i hope they make a key-pad, cabled version for a similar price and Keychron might get actual competition.

I first starting watching you to learn what the hell is thock. Today I opened my Montech MKEY Osaka Castle Dark. It is heavy, it is beautiful, love the artsy keys, and damn is it quiet. I have the dust cover on it. I'm happy and strangely proud of my keyboard. Strange but true, thank you Hipyo.

This keyboard first released on 11 nov this year in china, I managed to grab the silver non rgb variant and it’s the best keyboard you can find below 200USD easily. I got mine for about 50USD actually (yes they cost as low as 50USD in china).

As a Linux-User ... VIA is pretty much a requirement for me. I hate that big companies can not be bothered to support Linux, or opensource their protocols so at least the community can jump in. I love that Via and the standard it represents is taking a strong hold on enthusiast boards. (tbf, the overlap between enthusiast and linuxuser is prolly a lot bigger then you razer-gamer and linuxuser).

But thanks for mentioning that, it really helps us linux people to find what we want.

Mine finally arrived today. I was amazed by the stock sound. I love the switches.

As someone who has spent easily over 1k eur on just 2 keyboards, I absolutely hope they can deliver on everything they promise. More competition is always great for the consumer.

I've also been recommending people keyboards a lot and it can sometimes be really difficult to find something that caters to their preferences, especially when they want something that isn't your avg budget 60% / 65%. It would make for an absolutely beautiful recommendation for the 75% / TKL range for newcomers.

Also I think they mainly only went with linears because tactiles can be so different. For example, I love heavy tactiles (WS Heavy Tactile / White Jades for example) but I really don't like medium / light tactiles. I also know a lot of people love medium or light tactiles, but find heavy tactiles too fatiguing. They probably couldn't give people too many options (possible logistical nightmare) and also didn't really know which tactile to go with? I think the ideal option would be something like Durock T1 or equivalent, which is a medium tactile and should have a wide enough appeal for tactile enjoyers but I don't know for sure.

Linears are pretty safe on the other hand. The biggest difference when it comes to people's taste is just spring weight, the rest is pretty minute (long pole vs short pole / material / sound etc)
I tried a lot of linears and while I've had some I liked more than others, there weren't really any I thought felt bad unless they had actual quality issues.

Either way, great video and I wish these guys both success and hope they will deliver on their promises.

The rainy 75 is a beautiful keyboard and a joy to use. There is one large drawback: the switch for wireless/wired mode is on the PCB and the only way to access it is to remove the CAPS key. This would be manageable, except that the board doesn't charge when in wireless mode- only in wired mode. So if I want an uncluttered desk I need to also keep a keycap puller on hand to pull the key, flip the switch and plug in a cable whenever I want to charge it... and then reverse those steps to clear my desk again... a big pain. If anyone can work out how to mod it to get the switch on the outside (or apply some firmware patch that would let it charge while in wireless mode) that would be amazing!

Waiting patiently for this to come in stock because the stock sound is just so damn good. All I gotta do at most is tune the stabilizers if needed but everything they did to get that sound profile is just music to my ears.

Since you asked the engagement-boosting question: I'll take the stainless steel weight over the glass one eleven times out of ten. Glass is a lot easier to break, and they last thing I need is a keyboard full of broken glass.

Ok Hipyo, this keyboard has my interest. Great price, sounds great, 75% (turns out I need that F row for my game), hot swappable, and has the looks. I just wait until it comes in stock!

Nice entry, both versions are attractive, stock violets with foam and without. Just different in how they are sounding. It's also nice new builds are produced made of full metal in lower than usual prices. Which latter means that the status of elaborated metal being "better" and more qualified than plastic or other, has more been one issue of manufacturing process and marketing strategy than one practical daily necessity. Using now three different keyboards, only one carries an aluminum case and is a scissor switches one, a Satechi Slim X1 of 69 euros purchase a few years ago. Good job btw.
