The real nightmare is when the robot dogs start reporting back to robot masters to respond to human "threats". That will be the beginning of some real "fun".

the museum is gonna be like
"hello insurance? we lost approximately 30 million through vandalism on this art piece, we need that money"
(later, after receiving the money)
"LOOK AT THE FAMOUS VANDALISED PAINTING ONE OF A KIND HISTORIC EVENT UP FOR SALE FOR 60 MILLION"

A somewhat interesting bald eagle fact: most videos of a bald eagle screeching are actually dubbed over with the call of a red-tailed hawk, because the bald eagle's real sound is considered less majestic.

Carabinieri is Italian military. So this was a question on one of their evaluations. Great idea. I used to ask stupid questions of people like "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop"

Ok, so about the Indian article.

First, the religion is Hinduism, not Hindi. Hindi is a language.

Second, they are wearing a hijab instead of the school uniform. The protest is regarding whether they should be allowed to wear other clothes, in this case, the religious clothing, to school or should they be wearing the school uniform. The boys protest that they should ALSO be allowed to either wear religious clothing or that the school should make the uniform mandatory.

Now I would have to go re-listen to chocolate rain and it will be stuck in my head again

The atmosphere (or mesasphere or something like that... an outer layer lol) swelled from the solar activity so the starlink sats couldn't roll out of their defensive proning to point their thrusters properly - it was due to the atmosphere swelling from the solar activity being slightly tougher than the roll thrusters though. There's not much specific impulse on those little sats to save costs and since its not needed for a 5-yr lifespan of the cubesats.

They launched anyway to test their math on this rather than on human occupied crafts in an emergency. Musk routinely sacrifices equipment testing incrementally riskier procedures for good reason.

I'm not a musk fan or groupie, just a science fan. Credit where it's due though, this time it wasn't dumb imho.

Ben Franklin wanted our national bird to be the turkey, owing to how eating them features so prominently in our national origin.

I listened to lots and lots of backlog Level 1 News when I stocked shelves at a Giant in central PA in 2020.

The bald eagle isn't exactly 'wimpy' - it's just that if it can find food without effort it will and is an opportunistic carrion eater i.e. stuff that's already dead is a hell of a lot easier to catch than stuff that's still running about. Many other raptors are more 'live prey' focused, a bit like cats that won't eat carrion if it's too long gone, while a dog will bury a bone until it's rank - it's all about what the digestive system is adapted to deal with.

The automated UH-60 program was initially billed to reduce pilot workload for nondynamic missions like resupply runs and such that would not typically require a thinking pilot to make changes to flight plan, lz, or other mission details on the fly.

Wasn't a fuel issue with the Starlink satellite being able to recover, its that the reaction wheels didn't have enough torque to turn them back to the correct orientation with the additional drag to get the ion engines pointed back the right way. The Solar storm caused both the upper atmo to heat more than they expected expanding it causing 50% more drag than expected at that altitude as well as it lasting longer than they expected to I believe (so they ran out of time having them side on to reduce drag trying to wait it out) Normally they release them at that lower orbit and give them time to space out a little bit in order to have enough space to unfold their solar panels, then boost each one at a time. This low initial orbit both allows for any sats experiencing problems to very quickly deorbit as well as lower orbits orbit faster so they 'get ahead' of each sat as those boost to their final orbit, allowing them to much more efficiently and quickly get them all spaced out to their final position on the same orbital plane.

But yeah, even in their final orbits they are still experiencing drag from the atmo (same with ISS) that's why their orbits degrade on their own in the first place over time. But those close in areas of space the O2 and Hydrogen molecules are so spread out they don't bump in to each other much, but they are there having an affect over time.

A friend who is a falconer trained one of her Harris hawks to swoop in on a remote controlled car made up as a rabbit for her Falconry display that she gave at country shows. Took forever to get it to hunt properly after she gave it up. Just a thought. Engaged.
