Way off topic but every now and again I finish these videos and it'll autoplay me a level1techs from like 2018. Damn Ryan lost a bunch of weight. Kudos to him.

It's really refreshing to listen to level1 news talk about a major world event and be able to actually name the key components directly. Part of me just automatically expected to hear "the thing happening in the East of Europe right now". Hooray for censorship 😑

"[embarrassing ads like] NFT scams"

Why did you say the same thing twice?

That "back to March" comment from Krista killed me.

Nowadays you can "easily" make your own phone. Get a Raspberry, a DSI touchscreen for it and a 5G or 4G propper module (with phone call support on top of internet connectivity, we do have those) battery and charging circuitry (easy we also have mods for this) and then 3D Print an enclosure.
Devising the software to integrate all this will require some coding skills, but nothing crazy. Most stuff can be done based on the examples of these mods. Even the battery handling can be deemed easy (an analogue input is enough to measure the battery level). Audio wise you may need a USB audio card (assuming you want the capacity to record from the phone module and play to it from your Rasperry which can be useful to bridge LTE and VoIP through audio and two separate connections among other things)
Not sure about the final price, I'm sure ensuring security and privacy has no price!

I watched Russian troop movements live on Google maps because of soldiers' phones.

Ryan - consider a comparison between the Canadian truckers and Russia, cut off their banking and shutdown their misinformation (RT news). Are these measures okay when we dislike the group they're being done to? Free speech?

Yeah, SSD's are supposed to drop all the 0's. HDD's typically hold data until it's overwritten on a meta level, so it makes sense Windows exploits this.

Still love these news shows; still wish the timestamps corresponded to the start of a story/topic discussion (segue/pivot to story), not when the story link is clicked. Lots of interesting discussion is before the timestamp.

The subway guy that you guys were talking about, it's his parents franchise store. So he basically works for his parents

The leaving user data behind is worse than that. It's literally leaving the data behind in a folder and if it was encrypted, it's not anymore.

Well that was a good news segment to get away from the depressing USA TV news

At a certain point for a large company it probably makes sense to do their own Internal insurance system if the fine print in policies are going to void allot of these things in the future.

It's like the old portuguese stand up commedy:
- I went to the 1907 War the war was closed, I moved up a couple years to the 1908 War and the guy at the guiche asked, are you coming because of the add on the newspaper?
(Should get the whole translation, "The War was closed sketch was a killer hehehehe")

And today I had Raspberry and Pommegrenade yoghurt! That was an explosive flavour!
