Our Vienna Travel Guide! So many layers to this wonderful Austrian city and we barely had time to scratch the surface. Vienna is one of those cities that offers something for everyone; culture, food, adventure.

Vienna is polished on the surface but dig a little deeper and there's so much more to discover. Beyond the incredible museums, cathedrals, and markets, this Austrian city is an exciting year-round destination for all travellers.

I still remember when in the summer of 2001 me and my mother got off the train in the old railway station in Vienna. I was 13 years old and it was my first true trip to a western country. Coming from Romania we needed visas to enter Austria. I was blown away by the city, I though it was perfect the way it was. After 19 years and many countries visited, it is still my favorite city in the world.

Vienna is an amazing city to live in and visit alike! Good Unis, Great Nightlife, Great Public Transport, still fairly affordable at least compared to London, Paris and Scandinavian Cities, ...

Nice to know that some things don't change. The size of the schnitzels when we were backpacking through Europe 25 years ago meant that we asked for a doggy bag and made sandwiches for next day's lunch.

I’d go back anytime in a heartbeat ❤️ and have been back numerous times. It’s one of my most favorite Cities in the world. Glad you you did this.

Nice to know: If you travel from Vienna by an airline of the Lufthansa Group (Austrian, Lufthansa or SWISS), you can check-in your bag at the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) where it will be sent to the airport straight away. That way, you don’t have to carry your bag with you or let it at the hotel when your flight departs in the late afternoon or evening.
