kudos for mentioning Lainzer Tierpark, but I would also definitely add Kurpark Oberlaa, Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark and of course Donaupark :)

as for trams, 1 is nice, but D and 60 offer even nicer views, not to mention Badner Bahn, both within Vienna and on its way do Baden

I don't know why people are recommending the city pass so much, everything is walking distance, the trip to the Schonbrun is the only place that's an hour away on foot and costs around 4euro round trip meanwhile the pass is 17 euro so if you just plan to see see attractions in the city plus Schonbrun you will overpay. Discounts? if you consider 1euro a discount on otherwise 17 euro entrance fee (you still have to pay 16 euro entrance). You'll pay 17 euro for the pass while otherwise you'd just pay maybe 6-7 euros more for metro and entrance without the card, not worth it.

Vienna card is absolutelly NOT WORTH IT!! costs twice as much as 24/48 ticket itself and the discounts are 10-15% = ca. 1-1, 5 Eur...SCAM!!

I will stay 6 nights and I notice that Vienna Card gives only 72hours access on public transportation. But it says that the discounts on attractions are valid for 7 days. Is that so? Than I will have a VC valid for get discounts on museuns but not valid for transportation?
