This decade was a symphony of revolutionary tunes, with The Beatles and The Beach Boys providing the soundtrack to a period of profound societal shifts and youthful rebellion. The air was thick with the spirit of change and the pursuit of equality, as the Civil Rights Movement unfolded, challenging the status quo and sowing the seeds of justice and inclusion. For the children of this era, Saturday mornings were sacred, a time to plunge into the colorful worlds of "Scooby-Doo" and "The Jetsons," where adventure and laughter were eternal companions. The simple joys of playing with Slinkys and creating masterpieces on the Etch A Sketch were cherished fragments of a childhood marked by innocence and wonder.

The fashion of the 1960s, with its iconic miniskirts and flamboyant bell-bottoms, was a visual expression of the decade’s essence, a blend of boldness, freedom, and experimentation. The moon landing in 1969 was not just a monumental achievement but also a symbol of humanity’s boundless potential and thirst for knowledge, a beacon of hope in a world grappling with conflict and division. Each of these elements is a thread in the rich tapestry of the 1960s, weaving together the joys, struggles, discoveries, and aspirations of a generation. The legacy of this decade is not just a collection of memories but also a source of inspiration and reflection, a reminder of the enduring impact of our shared experiences and the transformative power of time. I was born in 61 and as a young lad there was that much kids entertainment on B and W Television I would spend all day watching..My parents didn't approve so dad bought me a mini bike and that too was a phenomenal craze with us youngsters back then..Bring back those simpler but so much more enjoyable times of great freedom, fun and less controlling rules.

I'm always going to have a slight memory of the moon landing because it came a few days after my fifth birthday! I've always felt that the perfect marriage of color TV, music and 60s psychedelia came from the Ed Sullivan Show if you watch some of the old acts!

I was born in 1968 and do remember a lot that happened through the '70's. Saturday morning cartoons and drive in movies still existed then.

Got back from doing a tour with the Marines in Viet Nam in 1968. Perfect timing for that hallucinogenic experimentation and watching the moon landing. Both were mind blowing events.

I was actually born IN 1960, so a lot of those things were happening around me. I was busy pooping my diapers, getting into elementary school and playing with my brothers and sisters. I was more affected by the 1970s and 80s as a teenager and young adult.
