Hey - love it. Can’t work out why that initial overhang though? Surely once the right way up it will cause a little wobble? Any explanation much appreciated.

I love this idea. One silly question though, Why have the 1/8" overhang on each leg end? Why not just all flush to the ground?

But I have a question: are not the screws running into each other at the upper corners?

Thank you for the great tutorial, I just made this bench and it turned out great! I found a few tutorials for this bench online, but felt yours was the most detailed and easy to understand. 2 things I did differently… I used wood glue only (no nails or screws). My bench will be used more for decorative purposes, but I’m still not afraid to sit on it (or have multiple people sit on it) I also used Fusion Mineral Paint in Aloquin for the paintwash instead of Behr 😊

Did something similar to this a few years ago for an entertainment unit. Added in a stationary shelf and another shelf on wheels.

This looks great was thinking of doing this with 2x4s but the 1x4 would be better for a in door bench... Curious as to why you did the out side leg pieces to a different length?

Random question but I take it you can screw the screws in at each level and it won’t hit the others?
