Refreshing our living room! #ikea

After living here a year, we decided it was finally time to get some new furniture for our living room. We wanted to lighten up the space, and are so happy with how it came out 😌

A larger rug would help too. Right now the sofa isn't anchored to the room and the room looks smaller than it is. A rug centered with the focal point of the room, while also fitting at least under the front legs of the sofa and extending 6-12" out from the sides of the sofa.

Just research interior design and rug sizing. We recently followed the "rules" and our home feels much larger now when spending time in the new spaces.

This came out so nice! Definitely influenced us to redo our living room space too! Did you make the middle cabinet door a “push to open” we ordered three of the pull handles but not sure if it’ll work like that.

add the extra leg in the middle from ikea, otherwise the console will bend over time. trust me, been there multiple times and rebought the console 4 times already until I learned.
