I’ve never had a bad experience flying Spirit. At the beginning of 2022 I was flying from Michigan to Ft Lauderdale Florida for $48 a flight! You just can’t beat that!

I literally take a tote as my carry on and then stuff my purse inside 😅 grant it, it’s a small purse but I will get my money’s worth

Thank you! I am flying Spirit for the first time at the end of the month, it is only a 2 hr flight for $112 round trip, I refused to pay $400 with other airlines when I am literally only going to a friend's Halloween party. I haven't decided on what size bag I need yet but thank you for the tips, so helpful! I also am trying to make this a super cheap trip.

Spirit from smaller airports may be fine, but living in NY and doing the NY to Vegas or Florida is one hell of a ride! It’s like Greyhound in the sky.

I flew spirit from Ohio to LA last year. I had an empty seat next to me. It was awesome! Smooth ride too, and there was a storm in LA upon arrival.
I liked it better than United.

That’s awesome you had such a great experience with Spirit. I flew with them twice last year and both times were absolutely awful in every way even down to the baggage claim. 😂 but it’s awesome to see this side of them.

Spirit has always been fine with me. I’ve traveled a ton and they NEVER measure my personal item so I take a carryon sized backpack I got on Amazon and it’s lasted so many weekends in NYC, I took a flight to Bogota, Colombia for a 5 day trip, long weekends in Puerto Rico. People are soo dramatic about it but even when you book 2 seats they’re gonna assign the 2 people together.

Cmh is my hometown airport and it’s unparalleled. Small, efficient, but tons of flights, and traffic is never that bad

Thank you for pointing out about the 40LBS for the checked bags ! my fiance and my bag were just over 40lbs for our flight tomorrow, you saved me a bad experience at the beginning of our trip and $160!!

That’s awesome. I’ve never flown with them before and have always been told not to. Sounds like flying with Spirit is at least showing you where your expenses are coming from.

Amen to the positive vibes!! They are a good airline with some problems once in awhile but, all airlines have these issues. This airline doesn’t get many great reviews like yours so it’s nice to watch this. Don’t be a snob is perfect. If you want to be a snob charter a private plane all to yourself. But that’s not gonna be cheap right. Great review!

I feel like being on a plane is slightly uncomfortable regardless of how great the airline is so might as well save the money! I've flown Spirit and Frontier a few times and never had any issues! Hope you have a great time in LA!

I always fly spirit, Allegiant, frontier to visit my siblings, and I always fly from Texas to Southern California for $38 round trip! I squeeze all of my clothes into a backpack so I don’t pay for any bags or carry on either. One thing I’ve seen people do is ship a box of clothes to their destination, which is cheaper than paying to check a bag or carry on!
