Saying all Protestants believe something that all Protestants don’t believe is a disingenuous way to argue a point.

You show an incredible misunderstanding of Martin Luther
He never tried to remove anything he tried to fix problems he had seen within the church but they kicked him out so he started his own Protestant reformation, he never removed the apocrypha, the Catholics added that during the Protestant reformation over a decade after Martin Luther had began the reformation, Martin Luther never removed those books he just simply never acknowledged them.

Sola Scriptura does not prevent the use of other sources to teach Christianity. It does mean, however, that the written word of God is the ultimate authority. As Paul stated in Galatians, to teach anything that in any way alters the written word is to teach or present another gospel. All denominations have traditions as traditions can be very beneficial to further explain or supplement Scripture. But traditions can not rise to the level of being equal or superior to Scripture.

Scripture is not only the inspired Word of God but it records, verbatim, the very Words of Christ. That is an extremely powerful truth. Truth is the very essence, soul, and purpose of Scripture and establishes Scripture as being the only supreme authority. As recorded in Luke 4:36, "Amazed, the people exclaimed, 'What authority and power this man's words possess. Even evil spirits obey Him, and they flee at His command!'
There are numerous verses in the Bible that support this truth.

Following are just a few examples …

Luke 24:27 "Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself."

Luke 24: 32. "They said to each other, ' Didn't our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?' "

John 8:31. "Jesus said to the people who believed in Him, 'You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.' "

John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice. I know them and they follow me.”

John 14: 24 "... And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me."

Scripture is the very Word of God given to us by Christ. How can anything be comparable to that!? Christ never referred to any tradition as a primary source of teaching. He only criticized traditions. (Two examples)

Mark 7:9 "You skillfully sidestep God’s law in order to on to your traditions.

Mark 7:13 "And so you cancel the Word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this in only one example among many others."

Jesus prays to the Father that he passed on the Father’s Word to us.

John 17: 1-19 “After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
‘Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2 For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
6 “I have revealed you[a] to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8 For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9 I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of[b] your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by[c] that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.”

No additional words from Christ

There are no additional words from Christ recorded in any tradition that are not already found in Scripture. As stated by Christ in Luke 21:33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

Traditions will cease to exist. Only the Word of God will remain.

Tell me you don't understand Sola Scriptura without telling me you don't understand Sola Scriptura. Sola Scriptura is the the only infallible source of teaching, yes, and all other teachings must be tested against Scripture. So we still look to the Church Fathers for insight, but where they disagree with Scripture, we reject their teachings. It's not that Luther didn't like what the Magisterium were doing, what the Magisterium was doing was contrary to Scripture. Martin Luther also didn't "get rid" of the Apocrypha, he did question their canonicity and determined that they were dueterocanonical, useful for teaching, but not to be the foundation for any point of doctrine, but they remained as part of the Biblical canon for centuries and are still considered useful to modern Christians.

tradition and magisterium are unreliable while scripture is a hard record

The problem is that the church has man controlling the scripture. And man is corrupted by sin. So, man can not be the one in charge of the scripture. If you need evidence, just think about the fact that the church didn't want the bible translated into the common tongue.

What's truly amazing is the convoluted way the Catholic church defends its complete contempt for scripture.

My question is: if solo scriptura is the only authority, where in the bible does it say use scripture alone?

It is evident that as of the second century the magisterium taught and included more and more pagan teachings like: the dead keep living in hell or purgatory, worship of Mary and saints, the forgiving of sins by clergy, changing the holy seventh day sabbath to the worship of sunday, and many more. Returning to the scriptures is the way to get rid of all the external influences and get back to the true message of the Lord.

Because the words of God is not sovereign enough to be fallow by the Catholics. 👀

In the church, those 7 books were not canonical. They were labeled as study reading and good, but not canonical. And "protestantism has done damage". I think the Catholic practice of syncretism has done much more

Catholic Divine Tradition includes writings from figures such as Athanasius, Basil the Great, Gregory Nazianzen, John Chrysostom, Ambrose, Augustine, Jerome, Gregory the Great, and others. Why does the Church obscure which parts of these writings are included in the deposit of Divine Tradition? Given that the Church teaches Divine Tradition holds the same authority as the Bible, it seems unjust that this remains opaque.

If one were to twist the scripture in their own favor. Wouldn't it be perfect if everyone believed it was perfect.

scripture and tradition are not equal, just as jesus is head of all things to the church, not any man, not a pope. the guardian of the scripture is the holy spirit.
let scripture interpret scripture. solid exegesis.

Note that the New Testament Canon is the same between the Protestants and the Catholics. Note also that the Protestant Old Testament Canon is not randomly trimmed, but that it matches the Canon of the Jews. After all they are the keepers of the Old Testament.

Luther's perspective was adopted not because of Luther's greatness. (In fact he was disgusting in some ways.) Rather, Sola Scriptura makes Biblical sense. And having the same Old Testament Canon as the Jews makes absolute sense.

God’s word is infallible but you have to test wether a thing is infallible or not, if something exists in scripture which is fallible then it’s not the word of God, and the scripture has yet to be found fallible. However, teaching is done by people with wisdom and the Holy Spirit so without all of it you may not have fully infallible teachings

"All Protestants hold to something called sola scriptura" and all Catholic apologists spend an ungodly amount of time and energy misunderstanding it and their own theology on the topic.
