Nicky Shaw, US Operations Manager at Storm Interface, demonstrates how you can take a healthcare kiosk and make it accessible for those who may have visual or other impairments.

We've all seen the explosion of self check-in kiosks through all areas of our life including healthcare.  Many healthcare organizations require you to check-in at the kiosk when you arrive for the appointment.  Personally, I love the self-service kiosk since it's usually quite efficient.  However, until I saw the work that Storm Interface had done, I was ignorant to how something like a self check-in kiosk which provides a great experience for me would be a terrible experience for someone who can't see or interact with a device the way I can.  I'd never thought about how a touch screen isn't very accessible.

Check out the video to learn more about how you can ensure that your healthcare kiosks are more accessible to your patients. Plus, changes like these are helpful as you work on ADA requirements.
