Good vid, I love the game and put over 150 hrs in so far. I think the May update is a very good step in the right direction to address the issues. The survival mechanics implemented to increase the difficulty definitely adds more depth to the game and makes you pay attention to resource management and planning ahead.

Like I had a situation where i was caught in the middle of a blizzard while trying to survey a planet and my health was chipping away unless i found shelter at the POIs, then I had to eventually trek back to my ship almost 2000m away because i couldn’t fast travel because of health loss preventing me. For the first time, there was real danger in the exploration which i felt was missing from the game.

I’m very excited for the future of the game and for me the game was an 8.5/10 at launch but with this new update, it makes the game feel fresh again and changes the way i play it so i would say its a very solid 9/10 now

Couldn’t agree more. With this update I’m having so much fun even though I’ve done this missions like 5 times already.

Modern Bethesda may not click with me these days, but hey Starfield has its merits. Cool to see its getting some nice quality of life support.

The update made me jump back in. Makes you wonder how it would of been received if it launched like this

I enjoy starfield a lot and am also looking forward to shatterd space but i feel that it would have been much more positively received if Bethesda was able to combine a lot of the spaces together to have less loading screens.

Maybe this is an engine problem as the creation engine is getting pretty old but if you could, for example, walk into every store in New Atlantis without a loading screen that could cut the amounts of loading screens a lot by combining spaces so when I enter The Key i dont have two loading screens of entering and then walking into the main area. Its not as much of a problem with me as the loading screens are usually around 8-10 seconds but i feel a lot of the negative reviews are caused from frustration with this and other small thing that are building up, or people just jumping onto hating in because they don't personally care for it, wich is fine no game is going to please every person.

But as another commenter said we shouldn't focus on the "community" when we are doing something that brings us joy as long as we are not hurting anyone we shouldn't let them drag us down but lets not ignore them as feedback is important when making a game or film and can help make future projects better as long as we give constructive feedback that tells what needs to be improved instead of hating with no feedback.

Brother, if you enjoy a game, any game for that matter, THAT is the only thing that should matter to you and you only.
We do not need to be a "community" to form some illusive merit badge, just to feel justified for enjoying a piece of entertainment..
Enjoy Starfield.

I love Cyberpunk. I'll always have someone try to rain on my joy for the game, saying this and that sucks about it, but even if I should share a respectful response,
I deeply tune them out, because quite frankly... who gives a rats butt, if I'm actually enjoying it.

Game on man. 🖖

Over six months after launch and we got a map. a basic feature of any game. Mastered over 25 years ago. No new ship parts, no new features or quests.

It may click in a future, but Starfield took the direction that i really hate in Bethesda games, and it's heavy focus on radiant quests. And hand-crafted ones, not even better. Huge let down in general even tho i liked at first

I feel like Bethesda wouldn't have gotten half as much shit as it did if space adventure game felt like space adventure game and not loading screen fest that it is. Sadly that is an issue not fixable (if at all) as easily as qol things they did. Doesn't hrlp that there is competition out there that is doing things better: elite dangerous, x4, ... star citizen (even in its sorry and shady state)

As a BGS game, Starfield was a huge letdown for me.
Main reason for that is probably the usage of procedurally generated content, because every location was pretty much the same.
I always enjoyed the exploration the most in previous BGS games, but in Starfield it simply wasn't fun, in fact it was so tedious that I tried to avoid it.
And that is where Starfield failed the most in my opinion, because the whole premise of this game was to explore the space.

So yeah, really big letdown. And to make matters worse thanks to Fallout 76 and Starfield, I'm no longer excited for future BGS games such as Elder Scrolls 6, because I don't think that BGS knows anymore what made their games so good in the past.

0:02 and I already don't like this video. I honestly have no idea how Starfield fulfil your Mass Effect void. Starfield is not even slightly similar in writing, world building or character designs. Name some as cute as Tali in Starfield? anyone so sexy as Miranda? any character as interesting as Legion? Best Friend forever Garrus?... Many character in ME will stuck in your head for years or decades because they have personalities and they are well written. I can't recall any memorised character in Starfield. Even Skyrim has NPCs which stuck in your head with only 2 lines of dialog.

I understand the urge to play in Space, and this might scratch this for you. Unfortunately this game do not scratch Mass Effect void
