Since diagnosed with MS, i changed my lifestyle and food consumption. I stopped eating processed foods all together and began to care of my sleep cycle. Last month, I had my control session with my neuro doctor. I got positive results. My lesions got shrank and have no new lesions. I believe the changes that I've made helped me a lot. Of course, taking my DMT pills helped me a lot as well.

I am right now on Dr Wahls diet ( no gluten, no corn, no wheat, no diary). Also I am using Supplements: Vit D, Omega 3, VitB6+B 12, Coenzyme Q10, Ashwaganda, Turmeric, I have a foot drop which is embarrassing and prevents me from walking.

I basically do all these things but can't support a plant based diet. I follow more of a keto or paleo diet closer to what Dr Wahl has researched and is promoting. I know she was Vegan when she was diagnosed and hasn't outright linked that to the onset of her MS she does link her diet that tends towards Paleo full to improving her mitochondria and not sure if she feels this could be done without animal proteins and fats. Her study results are still perculating and I look forward to that coming out. Hopefully it provides some direction and evidence on the best diet for MS.

I avoid smoke of all kinds first or 2nd hand, exercise daukt in many ways (M-W-F in a therapool for 1 hr ea, once a week yoga and 3 days a week using Gretchen Hawley recommended exercises in my home gym. I have to better my medication and mindfulness but now that I have stopped working consistently get 7- 8 hrs of sleep a night now ;-)

Yes! With an asterisk. *
Lifestyle changes can NOT substitute for pharmaceutical interventions like steroids in a relapse, disease modifying therapies (DMT) to minimize relapses, and support meds like Ampyra or even Adderral.
Also, my own experience with whole foods based eating has been increased food sensitizations, resulting in food allergies that reduce my quality of life and inhibit my body’s ability to absorb important nutrients (especially B12, which pwMS need lots of).
Everything else is such great advice! ❤ I would also add a creative practice like painting or writing for even a few minutes a day, and I encourage community building (a creative community is twice the bang!)

Thanks, I am completely vegan, no sugar, exercises, fasting ( intermittent and 36 hours) and eat lots of plants however it's not helping me. Anything I am missing here. I eat whole foods plant based diet. I have been doing this for 3 years.
